Honeywell Ceiling Fans Kaliza Modern 56 Inch Ceiling Fan with Light, Remote Control Fan, LED Indoor Fan with 6 Blades, Gray Oak and Light Oak Blade Finish Options, Bronze (51036-01)

Purchased an open box discounted unit that arrived in just two days. It appeared upon opening that it was never installed or used in any way. Packing was equal to or better than more expensive name brands purchased previously. All parts and screws were present and packed in factory zip lock bags. Assembly was simple and should not present a challenge to anyone who has installed fans previously. Unless you are electrically challenged and have little or no experience with home wiring it should require about an hour to install. If in doubt have a competent person do the work. Assembling the fan was straight forward as the manual has photos. I never bothered to use it but recommend others read it before proceeding. Some reviews noted that installation on cathedral or sloped ceilings was an issue. Ours is over 15' with a good pitch and was no big problem. The ball joint does bind on the 2' down rod slightly but works as required. You will need to align the sending unit above it but it does slide in ok. The only major caveat was a non functioning remote. The red light did present a continuous image and would function intermittently. Rather than return it, we decided to contact the manufacturer via the phone # in the Amazon site listing. The customer service operator was knowledgeable and friendly. She did insist on me hard wiring the unit to determine if the fan operated properly which I already had done. Once I assured her there were no issues she offered to send a new remote package including the sensor module. It arrived about 10 days later but we were able to get the unit to work by shutting off the wall switch when not needed. Now all features work perfectly and the fan proved a worthwhile purchase. Should we need another fan replaced, we would not hesitate to buy another. Some reviewers complained the air movement volume was insufficient. As our ceiling is probably higher than most, we often use the mid level speed more with this fan than our previous luxury class monster.

The fans look great, the air flow is great, the light is bright, the remotes work properly and they are silent. Oh and they are easy to install :) I have two in the gun metal and I just bought one in the pewter. The gun metal is darker in person than in the pictures. I was actually disappointed when it arrived, because it looked so dark, and I contemplated returning it. However, once I took it out of the box I could really see how pretty and unique the color is and I bought a second one. The color does vary depending on the lighting in the room, but it's mostly dark and shiny. One fan did have a rattling noise, I realized it was the light fixture vibrating so I put some tape inside on the rail/groove and it's all good now. I would highly recommend these! I posted several pics of the gun metal to show how it changes with the lighting. I haven't hung the pewter fan yet, but posted a pic to show what the finish actually looks like.

I bought this to replace my livingroom fan that finally died. I would suggest having a second person to help install it. Although I was able to do it by myself, it would have been easier with a second pair of hands to help. The fan pushes air just fine for the larger room, and I like the style of it. Having a remote does away having those little pull chains dangling from it like other ceiling fans. The "walk away" button on the remote is handy for when its time to go to bed. It will keep the light on for a minute before shutting off so you have time to get up walk to your bedroom before it becomes dark. It can be a very bright light but it also dims down too if you hold the light button.

Updated 5/9/24 - I was able to connect with Honeywell Customer Support. Turns out that their phone lines were down that day. The representative was helpful with many suggestions and advice but I did need to get the installer back to follow their troubleshooting directions. We were able to solve the problem and the fan works perfectly. It was an installer error - not a Honeywell fan issue. I just purchased and had professionally installed two of these Honeywell Kaliza ceiling fans. One worked perfectly. The second one had (according to the professional installer) an incorrect remote receiver. The fan is quiet, nice looking and does the job. This negative review is not about the fan itself but rather about the lack of customer support from Honeywell. I've spent over three hours over a two-day period trying to get in touch with Honeywell Customer Support and called numerous phone numbers to no avail. I've left messages and sent emails to addresses given on messages. I'm just trying to get a new remote receiver so that the fan works. Amazon Customer Support has been great, finding phone numbers, connecting the calls and has offered to process a partial or full refund. I spent $130 to get the fan professionally installed and will need to pay another $130 to get them to uninstall the fan in order to return it. I actually had another of these fans in my Amazon cart to purchase to add to another room before this issue came up. After the lack of customer support from Honeywell and the additional cost it will be for me to uninstall and then reinstall a completely new fan, I would not recommend Honeywell ceiling fan products due to the lack of technical or product support.

I really like the Honeywell Kaliza Ceiling Fan which is perfect for my living room. The modern design looks great, and the LED light is bright enough for the whole space. I love that it comes with a remote, making it easy to adjust the speed and turn the light on and off. Overall, it's a fantastic fan that keeps the room cool and adds a nice touch to the decor!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing anything online. Contrary to many reviews: 1) this ceiling fan is EASY to install. I’m a half handy DIYer and this fan was no more difficult than any other fan I’ve installed. 2) it moves a TON of air. Installed in a large bedroom, standing in the doorway with the fan in the updraft position you can feel the air being pulled past you into the room. 3) it is whisper quiet. 4) the remote works perfectly. Push and hold the light to dim/brighten; double push to shut off. Obviously, other reviewers could have received a dud unit, but that wouldn’t affect installation or air movement.
