The folks at Simple Human really know what they're doing. I could never pull the trigger on one of their admittedly pricey trash cans, but we received one as a wedding gift. Six years later, and I still fondly think of the gift-giver whenever I toss an old banana peel. Now, I would never use another brand of waste receptacle in my house. The bags may seem like overkill, but they truly are the perfect fit. They're high quality, too—I've never had a bag break or tear unless I thoughtlessly tossed something sharp in the bin. They come neatly folded in their packets, making it easy to grab one and only one bag off the top. There's even a little tag on the second-to-last bag to remind you that you're running low. The drawstrings are sturdy too and I haven't had one break yet. The more you buy, the more you'll save, and I've found these multi-packs from Amazon to be a great deal. Simple Human's quality and attention to detail extends all the way down to their bags!

Better fit than regular bags and cheaper

Perfectly fit my Simple Human trash can. Very strong and durable. I think this is the only trash bag that has never leaked or had a hole while using. Just a reliable bag.

HAVE BEEN USING THESE BAGS FOR ABOUT 5 -7 YEARS NICE AND STRONG BAGS AND HOLD QUITE A BIT OF TRASH. I DO NOT EVER WORRY ABOUT BROKEN DRAWSTRING BRAKING. THEY STAY UPRIGHT IN CONTAINER AND TRASH IS CONTAINED WITHOUT WORRY OF TEARING.

Let me tell you… these simplehuman Code J liners are the unsung heroes of my household. I would even dare to say that I am passionate about these trash bags. I’ve tried plenty of “heavy‑duty” trash bags before, but somehow my family always goes back to these. My family manages to treat the trash can like a demolition site. Banana peels? Sure. Half‑full smoothie cups? Why not. A mystery object that might be a science experiment? Absolutely. These bags? They don’t even flinch. The drawstrings are sturdy enough to survive the “overstuffed trash can tug‑of‑war,” and the fit is so perfect it’s like the bag and the trash can were soulmates in another life. Nothing compares when yo buy the exact fitting bag for your trashcan which you can only get with simplehuman. I swear they actually make taking out the trash feel… classy? Is that possible? The best part: the dispenser bag. Because if I have to wrestle ONE MORE loose trash bag roll from under the sink, I might lose it. The bag also lets you know when you are about to runout which is helpful (although I have mine on suscribe and save). In short: Do these bags spark joy? Weirdly, yes. Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Do they make me feel like I have my life together? That’s between me and my trash can. Five stars. Would recommend to anyone who wants their garbage to have a luxury experience.

I use these J bags because my kitchen trashcan is a little taller than normal so regular bags can't be folded over at the top of the can. These are less expensive than Simplehuman's and work just as well.

Won't repeat ad infinitum all the positives others have written in reviews; I agree. But the product loses one star, maybe should be more, because the bags are not biodegradable. For the price and premium positioning of SImply Human, we should expect the bags to be more environmentally friendly.
