Norpro Stainless Steel Scoop, 1 Tablespoon, 35mm (2, 8in/20cm)

I have made truffles regularly for the past 45 years and after a while the scoops wear out. So I purchased 5 different brands of truffle scoops to test out to see which does the best job. Two of them, the Soula and the Saebye, were so flimsy that they couldn't even scoop chocolate ganache. They just froze. The "high class" Italian Piazza scoop was sturdy enough, but the space between the arms was too small and very hard to squeeze. Just a pain in the hands. The two winners were the Norpro and the Sur La Table. The Sur La Table scoop won in the end because it was both the easiest to squeeze and gentlest on the hands.

The actual Norpro scooper is pretty good, however I received a generic brand instead. Just wasnt cost effective to bother returning. Id give an actual Norpro 4.5. The one I received a 0.5 - it snapped on the first use.

Needed these for a cookie recipie. Very heavy, string spring action.
