Taste of The Wild with Ancient Grains Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe with Roasted Lamb Dry Dog Food, Made with High Protein from Real Lamb and Guaranteed Nutrients and Probiotics 28lb

Well, i was hesitant to try a fish protein, but my little girl was allergic to other proteins and i wanted to get her off the hills science diet hydrolyzed food. I decided to try this brand because it was one of the few fish based foods that i could find that had absolutely NO MEAT (beef or chicken) of any kind in any form (You must read ALL the ingredients.) Only salmon or fish. I was afraid it would smell horrible. It did not. It actually smelled fresh, like the sea. Gwyn liked it too. And she did not smell fishy after eating. She is small, a 9.6 pound Chorkie. So she only eats about a heaping 1/4 cup twice a day. No bad breath or body odor. I was very pleased because salmon is recommended as a great protein source for dogs with allergy problems. So far, she has transitioned to eating this food without any problems, no itching. I will continue to use this product.

We feed this to our Aussie and it has worked really well for her. She eats it with no hesitation, her coat looks healthy, and her energy has been great. It feels like one of those foods you can stick with long term because it just keeps things consistent. Shipping has been easy too. It shows up on time and gets dropped right at the door, which saves a trip to the store and keeps us from running out. Nothing complicated here. Our dog loves it and it has kept her in great shape. Bottom line: A reliable food our Aussie enjoys and one that keeps her looking and feeling healthy. Easy delivery makes it even better.

My American Bully loves this food. I switched to this food for my dog because he has allergies, and his previous food made his allergies worse. After switching his skin cleared up and he was no longer itchy or chewing at his paws. It helps his immunity as well.

Great product. Dog has super soft shiny coat.

My dog enjoys this brand of food and it seems healthier than some. It is crunchy food with pebble sized kibble.

EDIT 10/18/20: This review was supposed to be about the other GRAIN FREE version but I had ordered this Ancient Grains so that maybe my dog would benefit even greater but I think I was wrong. At first my dog Booboo was eating this food because I now realize that i had mixed in some of her old food to "ween" her off of it because its not good to just switch your dogs food right away, you have to slowly introduce them to a new brand or type of dog food. So anyways, after I had stopped giving her the mixed food and I was giving her only the Ancient Grains, she slowly stopped eating it and he poo was getting soft and wet instead of solid and normal. So as of now she will not eat this food and its been 3 days! I had to mix it with wet dog food and even then she ate half or only small portions and now she wont even eat that! I have to give her can food only! SO, thank god I got the old "grain free" version today and guess what? SHE ATE THE ENTIRE BOWL AND WAS SO HAPPY! So, sadly I cannot recommend this Ancient Grains but as a whole this company does a great job and truly cares about animals so please people don't be disrespectful to them ORIGINAL REVIEW: My dog started eating this as a pup due to her having severe allergic reaction to CHICKEN FAT (chicken fat is the NUMBER ONE food allergin for dogs btw). Every vet doctor that I had brought my dog to said things like, "she's not going to live long", "Its a hereditary blood disease, we need more money for lifelong care", "more money for tests", etc, etc, etc... NOT ONE VET EVEN SUGGESTED AN ALLERGY TEST! Anyways, after reading about how chicken and chicken fat should not be fed to most dogs, I decided to change foods. I found this brand. Literally a month later all the symptoms and issues with my dogs skin and immune system cleared up and has been GONE for 10 years now! I can't believe people are quick to blame this company for the class action lawsuit! It has nothing to do with the brand or quality of food! The lawsuit stems from a supposed problem frm a grain free diet and possible heart problems in dogs. This company IS ONE OF MANY companies involved in the lawsuit. No dogs are not getting sick from this food and anyone who says their dog has gotten sick from this brand is either lying or their dog had eaten something else or they're over exaggerating. If any dog has gotten sick from this food, they're a extremely small percentage and doesn't represent the majority or the quality of this brands dog food. This will be the ELEVENTH year my Boston Terrier has been eating this exact brand. She went from having severe skin issues and immune problems from other brands with chicken and chicken fat to one of the most healthy dogs I've ever seen. She'll be 11 next year and she has ZERO gray hairs and the vet who's unfamiliar with her said she's 5 years old when she was actually 10 lol This dog food literally saved my dogs life and saved me THOUSANDS on doctor bills! I have an 11 year old doberman that has been fed with Oven Baked Tradition for years. At first it was oven baked chicken but she had some adverse reaction to that and someone recommended changing to fish, which solved the issues. Recently, my dog was not eating her kibble anymore. I had to buy the grain-free option at my local pet store as they ran out of the normal one, but that still didn't seem to please her. She would not eat unless I stayed in front of her and watched her and even then didn't eat with the same voracity that she usually has. I worried if she was suffering from a loss of appetite but she would still eat treats, veggies, cheese, bacon with no issues. I tried supplementing the food with fresh veggies (which she loves) but even that only worked for a day. So,I went online and looked for the best dry foods and this one came highly recommended. I got it this morning and fed it to my dog and she wolfed it down within seconds, like she usually does. She got hungry again about 5 hours later and she jumped up in excitement to get the food, she wolfed it down in seconds again so I gave her more and she ate all of that too. It's still day 1 but this looks like a winner, I was worried about my girl but it seems everything is back to normal.

Nothing on description mentions this at all I came to know when I decided to read ingredients after my dog almost finished it!

Good ingredients although the product is rather expensive..

The expiry date is literlly in a month! Thats why hes selling it cheaper. Dont buy before you check with the seller the expiry date
