Great Emergency Radio to Have at Home
This emergency radio is a great item to have at home, especially during power outages. The sound is clear and it’s easy to tune into stations. I like that it has multiple charging options, which makes it very practical. It feels sturdy and well made. Definitely a smart purchase for emergencies

Stood by their product when help needed!
Wasn't there for me when needed. Stay away. I bought this radio last October in anticipation of winter power outages in Vermont. I charged it up fully and tested it for a few days. Everything worked well. I set it aside on a windowsill with the small solar panel facing south in order to keep the battery charged. When a recent power outage happened, I had to push the "power" button at least 20 times to turn it on. Then struggled to get the local radio station. Finally, I could not turn the thing off, regardless of how many times I pushed the power button. My finger was numb by the time I was able to shut this radio off. I then tried to start it and experienced the same problem. I am no longer counting on this thing to be there for me in an emergency. You best look elsewhere. Important Update: After posting my initial negative review I emailed the company's customer service department. Surprise! I heard back a day later with suggestions about how to reset the radio's inner system. In addition, they offered either to replace the radio at no cost to me, or refund the purchase price. Amazing!!! So, I followed the simple step to reset the radio, and I have tested it repeatedly each day for several days. Everything works as advertised. For the price, this radio is a good deal. For the customer service, it is a great deal. 5 stars.

Great value features for the price
I really like that this is a very small size radio you can easily throw in a 'to go' bag or keep in the kitchen cupboard for an emergency .The solar charging feature seems to work fine and it’s nice that it comes with those rechargeable lithium batteries. Out of the box it was already 100% charged for me . I’ve tried the hand crank. Seems like you have to crank it quite a bit to actually get a full charge. I have not done that yet personally for a full charge, but it works. The digital tuner is my favorite part because it is so hard to find stations sometimes on the old analog tuners, unless it’s extremely precise which, for this price unit , would be asking a lot. The digital tuner simply makes it easier to find stations and they come in clear on the NOAA. I have to say, I forgot the radio was on standby when late at night, an emergency weather forecast came on- as we were having storms and it scared the 'beJesus' out of me coming from the Living Room with the weather alert forecast blaringly loud, the light was blinking red as well for the emergency weather forecast so in inadvertently, I tested this feature and it does indeed work! Not much else to add you can see the features in the product description- other than I’m happy for the price of this radio and functionality am I going to sit there and listen to this radio to hear the great music sound? The answer is 'no' however, that is not what I’m buying it for. I think it will be fine for a.m. e.g. if you want to listen to a ball game or something

Useless for shortwave, probably nice for everything else
This radio does a lot of very useful things, but not the one thing I bought it for - shortwave radio. I was shocked to see a single band covering from 7 to 19 mHz - pretty much the entire shortwave frequency range - and the tiny knob only takes 3/4 of a turn to tune across the entire band. Needless to say, it's impossible to settle it on a single radio station. That turns out not to be a problem, though, since in three days of trying I was unable to pick up even the hint of a signal on the shortwave band. I love the power flexibility, the ability to charge other devices, the lighting options, even the crank for dire emergencies. Unfortunately I will not be keeping this long enough to find out. It even sounds good when I tune in FM stations. But I bought this as a shortwave radio, and it is absolutely not one. The band is purely there for decoration, or to check a box. Returning.

Following the fires, in Australia, I wasn't going to get caught out without a radio of phone changer. This product meets the bill. While the quality of reception is not premium it is still usable. It will be one of those handy devices that I have in the cupboard.

Update: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The seller reached out to me and offered to upgrade my radio to the newer version with the buttons. I have to be honest, this one works so much better than the one with the knobs/dials. If static noise and radio quality is not a big deal, then go with the older model, otherwise, I recommend spending a few extra dollars and purchasing the newer model. The buttons make it easier to tune into specific stations. The speaker sound is so much clearer and louder. Unlike the older model, I rarely need to use the antenna to tune into local FM stations (in the city). I have updated my review to 5 stars from the previous 3 stars to reflect the newer product and the impeccable customer service provided by this seller - seriously, it is one of the best customer service encounters I have ever had on this platform. My 3 star review still stands for the older model, however. Original Review: ⭐⭐⭐ I ordered this radio to keep in my earthquake/emergency kit, and was somewhat disappointed. The lights all work well and are fairly bright. The siren is deafening, but that's a good thing in this case. The radio leaves much to be desired for - there is a lot of static noise that makes it difficult to hear anything. The FM radio isn't as bad, but you do have to really tune it perfectly with the dial to get a decent broadcast signal. Even then, the radio isn't very clear. The weather station sounds very bad - you can barely make out anything as there is so much static background noise, even with the antenna up all the way. I am in a large metropolitan area, and definitely expect better sound/range. I have to move around my house and hope to catch a better signal so I can make out what they are saying. Overall, a disappointment - maybe I just have a dud? I'm unsure if the newer models with the buttons work any better - at least you wouldn't have to struggle with the dial/tuner to try to get a clear sound. If it weren't such a big hassle (due to health reasons) to do so, I would probably return this product.
