Sephora: The Ultimate Guide to Makeup, Skin, and Hair from the Beauty Authority

This book is very educational esp to those who don’t wear makeup everyday. I would share it with my daughter . It’s helpful in shopping for the quality makeup and tools. In the long run, this book will help your save money. No need to experiment on different brands coz everything has been suggested here. I would highly recommend !

this book is ok, but as we all know beauty products are updated constantly and in a year or two this book will be obsolete. the tips and tricks on how to do ur make up are very basic and i would suggest this for a young girl learning how to do their makeup when they start to go out with their friends more often. the styles of makeup are very simple and easy to do and arent hard to master. the tips they had about how to look after your tools and little tricks about applying make up were super useful and i really appreciated that part of the book. over all not the best makeup book, it was more like a product catalogue.

I bought this used but looks brand new. So much information in a very creative and fun layout. It capsulizes on the many designers pivitol points and inspirations. More information than I had expected. It isn't a book that makes you feel like you must buy a zillion products to look nice. Great tips. Well sectioned. It doesn't matter if you are a make up artist or just someone wanting to learn a variety of techniques. this is really good.

Very happy with this book, bright colored glossy pics, lots of info. If your a lover of SEPHORA, like me, then you will love this book. I really like this book because I am a regular at sephora stores and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. I feel this book gives you a lil more insight to their products etc. If your a make up beginner, definitely get this book and visit this book. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I bought book used but it said good condition but pages started falling out within days. It was a good book but a bit outdated. I wish someone would make an updated version.

This is so cheap compared to buying at full price in store. It came in almost perfect condition. I’m very happy.

Beautiful coffee table book. Shipping took longer than expected but worth the wait. Can't wait to get my other books I ordered for our new house so I can decorate our living room.

I ordered this book as this is the only make up I will wear hoping it showed many ways to put it on and wear it! So pages do and some are what they sell. I ordered 3 other books along with it, using these tips you need a book for the real look! So all in all I am happy with it! I gave it a 4 star only because I was expecting this book to show many different styles and it does show some but more what to wear with colors like eye shadows, lipsticks all together! I need to learn how the pros put it on step by step!

Great detail and step by step instructions

J'appréhendais à l'idée de l'acheter (je n'avais, jamais osé lire d'ouvrage en anglais). Cet ouvrage à usage semi-professionnel, est rédigé dans un anglais très accessible. Le vocabulaire est simple, le choix des photographies est pertinent. Tout y est traité, du kit sourcil, en passant par l'usage des différents pinceaux de maquillage et la protection solaire. Je n'avais pas vraiment lu le descriptif sur amazon.fr et j'ai été ravie de voir qu'une partie de l'ouvrage était consacré au traitement de la chevelure. Je n'ai pas été déçue. Je craignais de tomber sur une publicité redondante des produits de la marque sephora, une sorte de manuel de vente pour les employées de la marque. Mais pas du tout. Toutes les marques vendues par l'enseigne y sont représentées. Je voulais absolument connaître le point de vue de l'enseigne sur les différentes questions traitées. Aucun sujet n'est en reste : la cigarette, les produits favorisants les irruptions acnéiques. Les types de peaux : matures, noires, peau de blonde, de brune... Ce livre en papier glacé est fait pour durer. N'hésitez plus !

I was really looking forward to receiving this book, but after a quick read I was sadly disappointed with its contents. There is nothing in this book that merits anything in the way of plaudits: The information given is obvious and must already be known to virtually anyone with even a passing interest in cosmetics and their successful application. The book is then needlessly padded out with boring details about 'a day in the life' of various people involved in the beauty industry. Really, who gives a stuff about their yoga classes and macrobiotic diets? Certainly not me. Frankly, the best thing about it is the beautiful cover photograph, everything else is just a big yawn.

Ich hatte dieses Buch gekauft,weil ich mir Schritt-für-Schritt Make-up Instruktionen,und Insider Tips vorgestellt hatte.Es ist schließlich SEPHORA:) Wer,wenn nicht die Mitarbeiter dieses Megastores,kennt alle Tricks?? Leider bietet dieses Buch nur relativ oberflächliche Infos für Mädels,die sich noch nie weitergehend mit Beauty-themen beschäftigt haben.Das ist zumindest mein Eindruck.Ich habe absolut nix neues erfahren,dieses wenige ist allerdings sehr ansprechend präsentiert:tolle Fotos,sehr persönliche Ansprache,tolles Papier,Hardcover und Schutzumschlag-kurzum,das Buch an sich ist "schön". Aber jeder,der regelmäßig Beautyfeatures in Vogue,Elle und co liest,weiß mehr über das Thema,als dieses Buch bietet. Da hätte man echt mehr draus machen können/müssen,denn es ist wie gesagt von SEPHORA,was bei mir für eine Riesen-Erwartungshaltung gesorgt hat. Vielleicht bringen die ja noch mal ein Buch NUR über Make-up.
