PC-870 Chain - 6, 7, 8-Speed, 114 Links, Silver

Exactly what I expected when I placed the order. And it's honestly the quietest chain I've had on my bike!

Works great as a replacement for the old SediSport chains. Runs smoothly on older hardware and shifts well.

This is now my eleven (11) SRAM PC870 chain in my 2006 Raleigh Passage 5.0. I completely clean and lubricate my chain every 500 miles of ride and since the price of it is so reasonable, I replace it every 4000 miles to ensure longevity and integrity of my drive train. This chain has been great, I never experienced a single problem with it, and with the power link is very easy to open for servicing. My bike has now forty-seven (47.000) thousand miles and have replaced it for over 19 years of riding.

I added this to my 1996 Pinarello Vuelta running full Campagnolo Chorus 8sp Ergopower with Exa Drive. It's quiet, shifts perfectly and is bright silver to match the components. Installing isn't bad if you know what you are doing.

Arrived VERY fast. I haven't put it on my bike yet as I am awaiting another part that is not arriving so fast, but its a 8 speed chain and I have an 8 speed Gary Fisher.. I can imagine if I were looking to lighten my bike and create some bragging rights I could have found a lighter chain, but I ride hard and long and I don't like to be married to maintenance so my criteria are different than many. I have had a few friends use this chain and have never heard anything bad and you can't beat the price! Note* The image and the chain do not match.. For those buying based on those little details you will notice the difference.. This chain has the bevels in the outer rings between the pins to allow for space for the teeth. I know this is minor, but I also know many are very detailed so I had to give it a 4 star instead of 5 because proper presentation in online showing is SO important...

These chains hold up; or at least the first one did. This is my second one. The chrome looks nice too, and makes it worthwhile to keep it clean.

Une très bonne chaine 8V. Qualité supérieure dans le temps, parfaite tenue à la corrosion si bien entretenue. Je les utilise depuis 5 ans et 20000km sur mes vélo couchés tricycles (lourds et exigeants) et avec un changement régulier tous les 3000 km, j'arrive à conserver les autres éléments de la transmission en état d'origine. La chaine est un élément primordial pour la bonne tenue de l'état du vélo. C'est un petit investissement qui vous garantira de nombreux kilomètres sans soucis....

Correggo una recensione di tre stelle.... La catena è ottima . Avevo un problema ma era dovuto a un pignone della cassetta che era consumato dalla precedente catena.... consiglio sostituzione catene anche ben mantenuta max 2000km onde evitare sostituzione cassetta (MTB-GRAVEL)

Wirklich gute Kette. Reicht überall hin. Kettenschloss einfach zu montieren, schließt sicher. Bisher - bei mehreren Ketten - kein Ausfall. Top@

I bought several of these chains for Cycle Fiesta, a cycling holiday company. We need chains that last a long time with little stretching, and this Sram is excellent for this. We use the chains mostly on the road, but also on some off-road sections which are quite sandy and dusty, but the chains are well up to the task. We have one tour to the Pyrenees, where some pretty heavy guys were really mashing the gears going up Tourmalet, but the chains were 100% fine afterwards. The chain is very easy to put on using the powerlink method (just make sure that you loop it through correctly, because it can be a bit tricky to undo). We have not had any problems with stiff links so far. The only problem we found on a couple of bikes was a slight grinding sound for the first 50km after the chain was put on; but that was probably due to some slight warping of the chainrings rather than the chain itself. Highly recommended, especially for the price they are going for on Amazon - I will be stocking up on several more.
