Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug, Ladybug, Small

My son got it for Christmas and he loves it ! It even rolls on our rugs! Great quality and it’s super sturdy. I def recommend for littles that needs to get out extra energy.

I thrifted a ladybug wheely four years ago for something like $8 for my then 2-year-old thinking it might be a whimsical, engaging toy. It ended up being in her top 5 most-played-with toys of all time. She used it for hours every week to the point that we ordered a new wheel after two years. The workmanship was stellar; the toy beautiful to look at; and, oh, the ways to play. I was so excited to see the larger one available for my now very long-legged 6-year-old. I just purchased the large and small (for our new addition to the family) and know they will be worth every cent. Oh, and every kid friend who comes over immediately gravitates to this toy. For reference my kids are 50 pounds/48” and 27 pounds/30”.

After reviewing the dozens of suggestions that I purchase large to avoid tears and short lived use of the bug, I feel that I should set the story straight for parents looking for the right size "ride on" toy for their child. My daughter received this bug when she was 17 months old and in the 90th percentile for height. I believed that, surely, my daughter could ride with ease after the other parents had described how unreasonably tiny the small was. Unfortunately, her feet do not rest flat on the floor and she is unable to ride the bug effectively. Since her feet do not set flat and the handle bar is fairly low, she simply scoots off the back of the bug and pushes it through the house.She does LOVE the Wheely Bug, as do I, but I did want to clear up any confusion. The large sized bug should be purchased for 3+ year old children and the small sized bug for younger toddlers to make riding the toy possible. Now, there might be exceptions and my daughter is by no means a risk taker or dare devil, but if you would like to see your younger toddler ride the bug...I would opt for a small. Sure, it looks small, but consider that they must straddle the plump little bug and have their tiny feet flat on the floor to really maneuver the adorable thing. If your child really prefers to push toys, the large is the way to go and perhaps he/she will ride it once they are older. I am glad that I went with the large for this reason.Great toy that really is very attractive to young children. I am very happy with my purchase, but do feel the bug is slightly over priced when considering its simplicity...no flashing lights, sounds, motor. All in all, the bug is incomparable to other push toys, ride-on toys, and any other toys in general. This bug will be a winner in your home, guaranteed.

I bought 3 of these for my children for Christmas gifts (different characters/animals-ladybug, pig & bumblebee). My children are 2, 4 & 7. All 3 of my children are very tall and my oldest is the height of your average 11-12 year old. It make it VERY difficult to buy her toys that she can ride on due to her height and weight (she’s as tall as a 12 year old so she weights as much as a 12 year old). She’s still young enough to where she still wants to play with her younger siblings so, she still wants to do and play with what a 5 year old would want to play with. That being said, these are AMAZING!!!! Let me say that again, AAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING! I always feel bad when my 7 year old is too big for a lot of ride-on toys that state they are for her age but not for her height or weight. She can fit on these and chase around her siblings on this Wheely Bug just like her 2 younger siblings can. Yes, her legs are long for this toy but she can still ride on this without the worry of breaking it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this toy for your child if you are looking for something that will last for years to come. I got the idea to buy these for my 3 children because for Thanksgiving, we went over to my friends house and she had pulled out her 2 Wheely bugs for all of the kids to play with while the adults were still finishing dinner. I was amazed that my 7 year old was able to ride it & my 2 year old loved it as well. I asked her where she bought her 2 Wheely Bugs, she told me she bought them from a children’s boutique when her 2 children were 2 & 3 years old. Her children are now 11 & 12 years old! She also told me that her children used these ALL THE TIME & they LOVED them. She let them use them inside and out but she never left these outside in the backyard. Her Wheely bugs looked brand new so I was amazed when she told me how old her Wheely Bugs were. If you have a young child and you want something to last (as long as they are willing to still play with it) then absolutely buy this toy. I just bummed I didn’t buy these sooner when my oldest was 2 or 3. Oh, and I would also recommend to buy the large Wheely bug so it can grow with your child. I would only recommend the small one if your child is very petite (small) and not going to be a very tall child. Is it expensive, YES! Is it well worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!! Hope your children enjoy this toy as much as my children do.Also: I was not paid to write a positive review nor was I given anything for free. A mi me gusto por su diseño y la calidad del material. A mi niña le encanto, se puede subir facilmente y trasladarse de un lugar a otro, se divierte mucho con el. Para salir del plastico convencional y los botones con luz y sonido. Aunque es pequeño, mi niña tiene 2 años y aun le queda bien.

Got this for our 15 month old because a friend had one and loved it. He’s just starting to figure out how to move (backwards and circles) but it moves so easily over the floor. It’s really well made. Worth the money. Really wanted the pig, but had to settle for the tiger (still adorable)

Cannot go wrong with this. If you're on the fence then just buy it. Excellent quality. I bought a small which is perfect for 8 months to 2 years. Kids love it.

Love these ride on toys! Unique, well built and sturdy. I bought the small for my small 18mon old..and it works great. Is quite little but not sure if the large would have worked for her yet or not!
