JebaoSLW-20 Compact Wavemaker w/Controller, Black

I was stuggling with the suction of the magnet, until a reefer friend told me that the magnet block actually comprises two separate magnets. So there are in total 3 pieces of equipment: 1 wavemaker, 1 small magnet and 1 larger magnet. The key is to separate the small magnet from the big magnet, and put smaller one inside tank, big one outside the tank. And it will work perfectly.

Can’t go wrong with these. Zero noise. Unlike other jebao pumps I’ve had, these disassemble super super easily for quick cleaning. Powerful wide pattern. Moves water but so diffuse, you don’t blast over corals. You can, but it would have to be intentional. Sure, it may break in a year (so reefers say) but I could buy this 4 times and not pay what the big brand competition charges. Plugs right up to my 12v backup from coralvue.

I have this in a tall 30 gallon under half strength and it seems perfect for keeping everything moving but not too powerful my juvenile clown fish. The complaints about the magnet are definitely spot on however as I was unable to use the rubber gasket to point in any direction but in my case it doesn’t matter much. There are a handful of different modes that allow you to shape waves based on your need or preference and although I’ve had it two weeks the device seems pretty reliable. I would guess you’d have to spend about double to beat the performance of this wave maker and I’m debating getting another as a backup.

This is a very nice wave maker, powerful and quiet. However I bought this for a 20 gallon nano and it is way to powerful even on the lowest setting! Would be great if I had a larger tank. I think the slw-10 will be more suited for me.

(SLW-20) The magnet barely holds the spacer to the unit outside of the tank. When placed in the tank (without the spacer) the magnet falls straight to the floor. Ive read reviews about the poor magent strength. Im guessing its just poor quality control. Issued a return/replacement. Will update if new unit works any better.

It’s very weak, I would only rate it compatible for a 55 gallon tank or smaller.
