It's good beef jerky. Pretty standard in texture and flavor as most store bought. However, it does have nice big pieces as well.

My thoughts of pemmican are what I experienced in the past. It was made of meat and fruit pounded together giving a fruity sweet addition to the jerky. The pemmican I received from you was good but just meat jerky. Bit disappointing.

For years I could count on Pemmican remaining true to their original recipe with its great tough chew characteristics, good smokiness and not overly sweet. Sadly, not anymore. They have changed to the modern “jerky” interpretation that’s tender, weird smoke flavoring and too much sugar. Just like Jack Links and every other jerky on the market. Not sure who thought this tender sweet trash is the preferred jerky, but they’re wrong. Fortunately, there’s a lot of independent home-based producers that still make great old fashion jerky. I’ll spend my dollars with them. No more Jack Links type garbage jerky for me.

I bought this for my son and grandson to eat while hunting. My son loved this when he was hunting with my husband a few years ago. Have not been able to find it in the stores - so decided to check Amazon. Got him a bag as a "treat" while hunting. Jerky has never been inexpensive so $20 for a bag - well, I overlooked the price as he hadn't had any for years. He and his son really appreciated the jerky - he said it was as good as he remembered.

Came with a hole in the bag and the jerky was moldy and rotten.

Good to eat
