Great deal!
Planted these back in the fall and they are just absolutely gorgeous now in July! I did some heavy pruning late winter to shape the plant and get rid of some crossed branches. Don't be upset if the plant is looks nothing like the stock photos, give it some time and it'll bounce back next season. I have over 20 hydrangeas and these are my favorite. Amazon has the best deal on these 3 gallon pots that I ordered another two in the spring and they are also doing very well. I will be ordering more this fall.

They servived.
Well 2 years later and lookie lookie. They are beautiful. The talk of the neighborhood.. i covered them for two winters and fertilized for 2 springs. They servived. I love them.Ordered 2 Proven Winner Hydranges. Leaves were yellow and black spotted. Shipping box was smashed and branches were broken and snapped off. Tried to cancel because my house foundation was uprooted but got no help. Gave Proven Winnerbenifit of my doubt and planted them in another area anyway. Followed directions and planted in Miracle Grow soil and covered with mulch as directed. Praying they survive as it is the 5th of October. Continue with results in the Spring.

Skeptical Buyer
I was very skeptical about ordering a plant online, however, my local home improvement stores and nurseries did not carry this particular plant, so I decided to give online ordering a try. I was definitely not disappointed! The plant was packaged very well for shipping. After opening the package, the plant was dry and slightly wilted, which I assumed was to be expected after a two day shipping process. Still very skeptical, I watered the plant and waited to see if the plant would perk up. The next morning, the plant looked 100% better - the leaves were no longer wilted and the plant was completely upright. I waited about five days until planting, so that I wouldn't give the plant too much shock. The plant has now been established for about two months and it has tripled in size. Although I still have no blooms, the plant is extremely healthy. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this nursery for online ordering.

I am surprised at how long it's taken
My husband purchased a couple of these for me for mothers day. As soon as it arrived, I stopped what I was doing and planted them. I added some extra "stuff" to help it grow and adjust. The plants stayed pretty tight (the same way it arrived) for a couple months. It has just been within the last couple weeks that we've seen it start to breach out. We have our entire garden on drip so I know it's getting enough water. In fact I actually went out and changed out the emitters because I was worried it wasn't getting enough water, but after a couple days I noticed a change so I changed the emitters back and the hydrangea recovered. I am just surprised by how long it has taken it to start growing. We planted a couple rose trees about the same time and those have grown pretty substantially as compared to these hydrangea. I gave a 4 instead of a 5 because I feel it is taking awhile to really show growth.

Tricky plant to order and/or ship
The plant arrived rather damaged, although it seemed well packed. It was up side down and had lost all of it's moisture. Consequently, the roots were dry. Amazon refunded me. About 1/2 was broken or crushed and I was told not to return it. I removed all broken parts and the plant looked very skimpy and unhealthy. I did plant it, however, added extra soil and "Easy Start" fertilizer and watered it well and it is actually recovering nicely but it took quite a while. At this point it has some new shoots and is growing branches. I don't expect it to flower this year but I think it will continue to grow well. I did not, btw., ask Amazon for a refund but only for advise on how to handle this matter. They elected to refund me. So I consider this a lovely freebie..

hmmmm
arrived kinda sad looking...doesnt look like its 1 gallon, looks like a small plant placed inside a gallon bucket. Definitely doesnt look like my previous purchase :( my previous purchase of hydrangea actually looked like it was a gallon. Nevertheless I will go ahead and plant this little lime and see how it goes, fingers crossed! I will update this review in the future.EDIT UPDATE: after transplanting, it looked very sad, even after watering... BUT, after almost a week of watering and care, it perked up and look very healthy!! I added my ratings, it looks like it’ll make it. Will update further if anything else happens.EDIT: it is thriving and doing amazing!!
