Really sturdy but forget using the 'clips' to fasten them. In reality these are just very short tabs which don't have any effect whatever as far as I can tell. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but they won't hold together without cable ties or wire or string so will take a bit of time to set up as have to fiddle about lining up the holes on either side and stop them springing back while you get the first tie on. I've found you need 3 ties ideally and I also hammer in metal pegs to keep them flush to the ground. So it takes quite a long time if you've got a lot of them to set up but in fairness they merge in very well with the plants around so are subtle as well as being strong once in position. In spite of the extra time and materials needed to construct them, they are good quality and the effort is worth the end result in my view.

Put around new hawthorn plants these provide solid protection without limiting the growth of plant side branches. We should end up with good shaped bushes rather than the lolly-pop shape you can get if sing plastic wrap-around protectors. Dead easy to fit as well - always a bonus!
