5+ months in... still super happy!
These discs have been up for 2 weeks, and so while I can't say with certainty that they are going to eliminate the problem, i can definitely see how they have great potential to do so! First off, as others have pointed out, these are beautifully crafted discs... excellent quality that should last many years. Assembling the discs is straightforward but easy enough. Be careful with your fingers... the discs can be sharp on the laser cut edges. I assembled all of mine without gloves without a cut, but you want to be careful anyway. I was concerned about putting up anything that would take away from the look of my red saltbox colonial, so I was pleased with how nice these look, and how they don't draw attention to themselves, but just to their actions - confusing I know. What I mean is that the mere presence of these disks doesn't look out of place. Unlike a bird balloon or a decoy owl that clearly looks like "hey - there is a fake owl on that house", these don't stand out by themselves. However, with the slightest breeze and some sunlight they create a light show of spots flying around and draw attention to their movement. Almost like wind chimes. This is why I think they will totally do the job! They are highly effective at causing distraction during the day, when the woodpeckers come out to play! UPDATE: So it's now been 5 months or so since I installed my first set of discs, and I just bought and added a second set. My bird concern has always been about the woodpeckers who seem to live all around me and who last fall made swiss cheese of my trim boards and barn siding. Because I have a seperate barn and an off-angle garage connected to the house by a screen porch, the original 8 sets didn't quite cover the whole house. On the 20x24' barn I hung one set on each corner and that has worked perfectly. On the house I was only able to easily mount one off my electrical electrical wires (which was where most of the damage occured) and the rest i placed in trees near the corners. This actually seemed to work great, as I check the house all of the time for any new pecking. Despite constantly seeing the woodpeckers flying around the property, and hearing them drumming away on nearby trees, there was no new damage to the house - until last weekend I noticed 2 new peck spots on the back of the garage - the one corner of the house where I had no discs in site. I immediately relocated one from a tree and hung it from a spotlight on that side of the garage - and since then no new damage. I figured since these discs have been so effective it was worth buying another set and really loading up the area. I like having them both on the house, and in the smaller ornamental trees I have because I think it helps keep the woodpeckers not only off the house, but also away from it whereas before they would perch in the trees, then fly over to do some drumming and if startled they'd seek refuge in the nearby trees. Now they have a longer flight to get out to the edge of the property to avoid the discs. Considering what they did to my house in the fall (see photo) and how many woodpeckers are still around and drumming, these discs have without a doubt worked!

Quality & pretty bird deterrent
These are higher quality, and thick, with films protecting the shiny sides. They came very well packed, and I like that it comes with a lot of separate pieces so you can choose how you want to put them together. You make a single, or double, or triple length bird deterrents. So far these have worked to deter woodpeckers and nuthatches from pecking at our siding. Sleep is nice.

No more birds 8n my plants
Work great! I used to get birds digging in my bonsai. Now no birds. Only complaint is the protective backing is very difficult to remove.

These worked for the woodpeckers on my house!
I was only trying to discourage the woodpeckers from making a mess out of my wooden house and shed and they worked for me and everyone I gave them to. I’ve given a few out to friends, family and neighbors and they tell me they worked for them also. The other birds don’t seem to mind them. I hung them from L brackets on the corners of my house so they can be seen from two adjacent sides and they don’t hit the house when the wind blows. The only problem that I’ve had is the swivels wear out after a couple of years, so I replace the swivels with stainless steel fishing swivels. I bought my first batch in 2017 and I’m still using them!

IT WORKS. It really keeps the birds away from our house
It really worked great last year from keeping the swallows and other nesting birds away from our home (especially up high under eves). This is the 2nd year I bought this as I needed more for other parts of the home and price is reasonable. Only thing I don't care for is that I need to remove the film on both sides of discs (takes time)...but for the money and effectiness is well worth buying. Without it, swallows have made mud nests in the eves of the house and to take that down is enormous amount of time and even with power washer. Unfortunately, if it is "over cast" and sun doesn't get to reflect off the discs for a couple of days consecutively...it is not effective and birds do still make nests under eves. I have fake Owls and Hawk's around for that situation.

Ok product.
They work well, but they are not durable. Wind will break them and blow they apart.

Could use some improvements in design - seems to work some days, but not on other days.
I bought these hoping they would repel the pigeons that seem to want to roost on my deck. Some days I don't see droppings or birds, other days (i think when its mostly cloudy or not sunny) the pigeons will be next to these and i'll see droppings on my deck. These seem to rely on repelling birds with shiny reflective surface when sunlight shines on it. They took a while to put together since you have to assemble everything. Each disc comes covered in a film to protect the shiny surface, but the film is difficult to remove. Additionally, I noticed that the rings that attach to the hooks would not stay on (the metal rings are like keyrings so you have to put the hook at the top on like you put a key on a keyring). After doing that, the ring came off on a few hooks - because there were gaps big enough where the hook attaches to the keyring that the ring just slides right out. The hooks are pre-bent and the shape of the bend is not that great as you can see. It would be better if you could bend it yourself easily - pliers were required to bend these but I gave up after trying one or two because the metal was pretty stiff - I lost two of these on windy days because the hooks are so short and hard to bend- the wind blew them off! I am going to try the plastic pigeon spikes with cable ties which should work since those are proven - birds can't roost on the spikes.

The Long Journey to a Grill on my Balcony
I've tried it all. I had an owl. The pigeons sat on it. I tried spices, reflective tape, pinwheels, mirrors, etc. They ignored it. I set up spikes and that detered them from sitting on the rails, so they walked around my balcony. They only fly away when I am around. So I set up many tiny mousetraps that cannot kill them but will definitely hurt and scare them. That worked. Now the sit by the edges where I couldn't spike. I don't want to spike everything anyway. It's ugly. I was left with trying the owl with the moving head or the ultrasonic blast but that frequent noise is aweful for an apartment. Eventually i decided to try the dangling reflectors and viola! Pigeon-free for a week. I used zipties to wrap around the rails so there is something for the reflectors to dangle from. It's easily removable if there is a storm coming. The reflectors will swing and twirl which creates some chimey noise. The movement also keeps light shining everywhere. It's actually pretty in comparison to any other alternative. When pigeons fly towards it, it reflects their approach and since the mirrors are small, the pigeon doesn't know it is their reflection. In the end, I do not know what specifically worked but the combination of spikes, reflectors, and mousetraps is keeping the pigeons at bay and I was finally able to buy myself a grill. Side note: Without the pigeons, sparrows started coming since they are attracted by shiny object but they quickly lost interest.
