Almost as nice as Crosses Year of the Animal Chinese Horoscope Pen Series.
Since people may like the very similar Horoscope series, I will also add that description afterwards. This particular Cross pen has a nice brushed metal finish and feels comfortable in the hand. It is really a bargain for almost everyone. If one can find one that is a Warehouse item, even better. It makes a great gift for some kids that are going to College or someone who writes alot. It makes even a good present to gift to yourself. For those who want a bit more style here is my review for the very similar Horoscope Cross series:...I have a modest, yet somewhat amazing pen collection that goes from the modest Crosses to the top Monteblanc solid two-tone gold pen. Sadly, some are just not that practical, but this Cross is. It is not that expensive to keep at home, but it is still a beautiful clean writing pen that one can proudly carry around.Just be careful that no one steals it away. This pen series often may come with the presentation box, which while cool, decays with age...so it is not worth the extra price premium. Some of the ones in this series I bought either from the Amazon Warehouse or on Ebay. They are all nice. I do stick with the Ballpoints and some Roller Balls. The standard Cross pen refills fit fine. Do not get cheap generic refills that can leak and damage these pens. If one knows someone who likes getting gifts that go by the year of the Chinese Horoscope &/or are Asian, these can be treasured for sure. You really cannot go wrong for these pens which typically can run from $100 to $200. While not collectable, they are fun and practical pens. Enjoy!...

Excellent
Very nice pen, heavier than just a regular ink pen feels robust and of a superior writing quality!

Great FP for the price
So, I'm new to FP, so take this all in with this knowledge.I keep mine in my pants pocket, and after about a month, it's still doing great. Use it not quite daily. No hesitant starts....except when the ink is low (like almost dry kind of low for the cross)....something I'm learning to recognize. I bought a converter to go with it, included ink cart size are ok. converter seats well, and does what they all do, with the same common volume. ** note, some reviews say you must have the converter to prevent false starts, which I did experience when the cart was about half full...but then my converter arrived a few days after the FP, and have not looked back since. The blue coating has a plasticy feel, but has a reasonable weight...I tend to like the medium+ weights. The coating itself looks great, and seems to be holding up under my use. not harsh, but not kind either. No scratches as yet, none around posting friction point. The pen does post (cap onto back of pen), but sometimes not well - uses friction but the tapper is enough to limit how much contact there is. Occasionally it will be free but sitting there....only an issue when you stop writing, or annoyance. Only occasional mind you, and I don't try to cram in on either.I use frequently enough, so I don't know how well the cap seals, but seems to be reasonably sealed to prevent the nib from drying out that would lead to hesitant starts.Being a beginner, I would recommend it to beginners for the price: quality, nice feel out of the box, and great look...assuming you like it to begin with, and buy the converter. Images really don't do the finish justice, nicer than on the web. There are cheaper pens, and looking, that would work for beginners, but this pen looks well enough to be seen in public with it once one gets over the newbie FP user efforts.

Good Pen, One Flaw
Good pen except for one small flaw. Feels very good in the hand, and still feels good after an hour or more of rapid note taking. This is a twist pen that has no lock after the pen is extended, and it sometimes begins to slip a bit as I write for long periods of time. This causes the tip to get shorter.Several refills available. I think the gel pens are smoother, but not by a lot.

Snarky Pen User Approved
I’m picky when it comes to pens. It needs to be great writing quality with bold lines no matter the thickness. It needs to write cleanly with a short dry time. It needs to be made of high quality materials with easily changeable ink cartridges. This pen checks all those boxes. It is simple to use and is very smooth! Functions great and is priced extremely well. Buy two!

Fantastic pen, especially at the price
This is my 5th cross pen, and undoubtedly my favorite thus far.First thing to note about me. Although I use a computer for 90 percent of my day to day functions, I write a lot by hand. And almost always with a pen. I use either felt tip or fountain pens the majority of the time. I enjoy the process of writing, so a good pen is quite important to me.I was a little apprehensive of this pen due to the perceived bulkiness of the pictures. I usually like a sleek style because I enjoy the feeling of having more control over the tip. From a design standpoint, I think the pen is quite beautiful. I was tempted to go with the blue, but went with the all back option and have been quite happy. My first use of the pen was a little underwhelming. The writing style was great, but I felt like the pen was doing the writing, vs my fingers (if that makes any sense). After several days, however, I began to notice that I need less force and my fingers were barely holding onto the pen as I wrote. And while I still am getting use to the large size, I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience ever since.

Nice pen with no converter
The pen feel and look amazing. It also write very nice and has a nice grip to it. Unfortunately it did not contained a converter as advertised by the vendor. I don't know why they're not honest with their merchandise. If I knew I needed to buy a converter, I would had looked some where else, a vendor that sells the pen with a converter. This is why I'm giving it a three star
