desertcart.com: The Norton Anthology of English Literature: The Major Authors: 9780393919646: Greenblatt, Stephen: Books Review: Lost gems - I thoroughly enjoyed this book's selection. Working with this in class has inspired me to find specific works and read them over again. Older texts are very inspirational. This edition has lost gems such as Oroonoko. I'm usually disappointed in this textbook company so I'll give them props for this edition. Review: Came as described! - I'm really happy about the condition of the book and it arrived quickly! This is great since I needed it to study for an upcoming GRE test!

Perfect textbook for a survey of early English literature
Great survey of English literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to the Enlightenment. It has everything a student or literature enthusiast could want: Chaucer, Milton, Shakespeare, and many others. Highly recommended for high school / college textbook courses.

Good book, poor service
They really need to update their definition of Standard Shipping. I ordered this book at the same time as several other textbooks at the beginning of September, with standard shipping on all of them, and I recieved the rest of them within a week. After almost a month of checking my mailbox several times a day, and still no sign of it, my patience is wearing thin. I am a collage student and I needed this textbook a month ago.

Required for Lit Class
As texts books that are required reading go this is a good book. I wish it had a more detailed index, it's kind of hard to find a title if you are not sure of how the author has it listed.

Awful
Awful. I would give zero stars if I could. I wish I could get my money back. I bought this for my English lit class and it is missing the three sections I need. It says it has the Romantic Period, The Victorian Age, and The Twentieth Century and After but it doesn’t these pages are not in the book like they’re supposed to be.

A great anthology. Like all other English Majors/Minors
A great anthology. Like all other English Majors/Minors, this is practically a permanent fixture in the backpack, and rightfully so.
