Loftus Star Power Starter Prank Bang Gun Flag Pistol, Red/Black/White, 5"

i know that everybody hates this FLAG BANG GUN because its small and flimsy but i will show you how i did my FLAG BANG GUN. all you need are a FLASH BANG GUN,PLIERS,SOLDERING IRON TOOL,GLUE GUN, a Small Screwdriver, Scissors,RETRACTABLE BADGE, and a 45 ACP British Bull Dog Revolver Toy Gun at AMAZON. First get your FLAG BANG GUN and remove the RED FLAG off than get your SOLDERING IRON TOOL and start melting the PLASTIC BLACK HANDLE off of the FLAG BANG GUN. Next get your PLIERS and start pulling out the long METAL piece thats inside the hole of the METAL BARREL. Next get your SOLDERING IRON TOOL and start melting the PLASTIC BARREL OFF of your 45 ACP BRITISH BULL DOG REVOLVER TOY GUN. Than get your SMALL SCREW DRIVER and start UNSCREWING the REVOLVER GUN TOY and OPENING IT. Your gonna get your HOT GLUE GUN next and HOT GLUE the FLAG BANG GUN METAL BARREL onto the 45 ACP BRITISH BULL DO REVOLVER TOY GUN. After that your gonna get your RETRACTABLE BADGE and CUT THE WHOLE STRING OFF with your SCISSORS and HOT GLUE THE STRING ONTO THE VERY TIP OF THE REVOLVER HAMMER. Im not sure how LONG OR SHORT I CUTTED the STRING you'll have to experiment to see how long or short it should be. Now i made two VERSIONS of this FLAG BANG GUN. one STRING HAS A BALL THATS ALREADY ATTACHED TO THE RETRACTABLE BADGE AND THE OTHER I CUT THE BALL AND GLUED A PIECE OF Q TIP AT THE END OF THE STRING INSTEAD. So the last thing you will do now is the STRING WILL GO THROUGH THE CIRCLE CYLINDER CHAMBER OF THE GUN. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH HOLE IT GOES THROUGH BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY GO THROUGH ONE HOLE. THAN YOUR DONE. YOU CAN START SCREWING EVERYTHING BACK ON AND HOT GLUE THE RED BANG FLAG ONTO THE BARREL. SO HOW THIS WORKS IS YOU ROLL THE RED FLAG AND CLOSE THE METAL BARREL. THE STRING WITH THE BALL OR Q TIP WHICH EVER ONE YOUR MAKING GOES ON TOP OF THE METAL BARREL AND WHEN YOU PULL THE HAMMER BACK OF THE GUN THE STRING WITH THE BALL OR Q TIP IS GONNA HOLD DOWN THE METAL BARREL KEEPING IT CLOSED TIGHT. WHEN YOU RELEASE THE HAMMER THE BALL/Q TIP WITH STRING IS GONNA LET GO THE METAL BARREL CAUSING IT TO OPEN.IF YOU LIKE TO SEE THE VIDEOS ITS ON TOP OF THIS PRODUCT. FORGOT TO MENTION ON THE GUN TRIGGER INSIDE THERES A METAL PIECE SCREWED ON SO UNSCREW AND TAKE THAT OFF. THIS METAL PIECE MAKES THE CYLINDER CHAMBER ROTATE IN CIRCLES.ALSO THERES A SPRING ATTACHED WITH THE GUN TRIGGER INSIDE. JUST HOT GLUE THAT ONTO THE GUN INSIDE SO THE SPRING DOESN'T FLY OUT INSIDE.

So, in a world where anything looking like a real gun is viewed as evil -- This gun could never be confused as real. It does what it is supposed to do in a minimal, cheap way. The gimmick "BANG" flag is visually great. The construction used cheap metal split barrel joined by a spring. The trigger is a very basic external metal release. The handle is simply there to mount the other parts on. The flag is perfect but is barely held on with two small dots of hot glue that has to be re-attached after about a dozen or so openings. Not sturdy for costume use without serious reconstruction...

This was a cheap prop I bought to go with my costume for an event. It's a niffy toy but worth no more than like $2 max (I consider the price fair-ish if you factor in shipping cost I suppose and novelty product factor). It's flimsy and the lever that holds the barrel together comes open easily. Also, the flag takes about a minute to bunch up well enough to stuff back inside the gun so you can close the lever and keep it inside until you want to shoot it off. Overall, it was a bit of a waste as I ended up not using it much and the lever kept popping open and making the flag spill out. It works for a one off surprise joke and clearly will not fool anyone into thinking it's an actual gun. Since the flag pops out it makes storage a hassle. Skip this unless you feel like reloading the flag inside the metal casing and being careful about not bumping the trigger (lever) open multiple times.

Went well with my cosplay.

I mean obviously it's cheap.. There are tiny metal weights in the flag bottom seam that are not sewd in..which means they fall out... If they fall out, the flag won't pop out as intended so I had to sew the sides of where the weights are located so the weights stop falling out.. It probably won't last very long , although i'm not playing with it it is a stage prop.

The little sign that pops out was torn from bad stitching and cheaply made. Would have returned it but it arrived late and needed to be used for trick or treat costume, had to sew it to make it like it was supposed to be.

Functional, simple, and everything I needed to complete my costume. It was cute and fun and was fairly easy to operate. Its defiantly not a long term use item use item. I feel like it could easily be broken and in a couple years I don't think I would be able to use it but for a night or two its perfect and worth the five bucks. NOTE: This gun is tiny. Maybe 3-4 inches closed and 6-7 inches open. For some people that was a let down but I like it because it made it fun to pull out from unsuspecting places =D
