Spyder Dodge Ram 1500 09-12 / Ram 2500 10-12 / Ram 3500 10-12 LED Tail Lights - Black

Overall I am very happy with the lights. My only complaint was that installation instructions wasn't included in the box. But since manufacturer was easy to find online and they had great instructions and installations videos posted online I won't take a star off from that. This system replaced your tail brake/turn lights with LED but you still end up using your normal backup bulb and sockets in this housing. I know that some people complain about that but to get good LED bulbs for backup lights you can easily put out another hundred dollars and or have complete units such as this that cost twice as much. So I am good with the non-led backup lights for now with this setup. Top red area on the outside of the light assembly is a running light. Red areas below main LED's and bottom outside of housing are reflectors only. Has good visibility on the brake/turn signals. Other than I wish the outside running light flashed as a turn signal as you have less side visibility of turn signals over the stock lights. So if a vehicle is next to you they can hardly see the signals. Its not that big a issue as many vehicle have even less side visibility with their stock lights so I am happy with them and my truck has signal lights on the mirrors. Was a very easy straight forward installation. Took me about 15 minutes to put both units in. No additional parts of wiring required. Just plug in and go. Totally plug and play. I would suggest referencing your owners manual on how to remove the stock lights or see the instructions on spyderauto [do]t com so you don't break the clips while removing the stock lights. Seeing the instructions and video made it easy to pop off the OEM lights, remove the light sockets, then plug the new lights in and install the stock backup light into the new units housing. I won't waste time explaining the installation in more detail as the spyder auto website has great photos and video detailing everything. A simple plug and play installation on my 2011 1500 and am very happy with the look and function of the lights. I have only had them for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to longevity of the units but so far so good.

Amazing tail lights

These things were a direct drop in replacement for my OEM ones. I had previously installed LED bulbs so I had already wired in the correct resistors, if you don't do this you may throw a CANBUS code. You can buy plug and play ones, or if you are half way intelligent, save some money and just wire them in directly. The LEDs are extremely bright, and function perfectly. Make a note that they do not come with any reverse lights installed, you need to install your pre-existing bulbs. I highly recommend you get some LED reverse bulbs to go along with these tail lights, It really completes the look and makes a huge difference backing up at night. They are DOT and SAE approved, so no worries about passing inspection getting hassled by cops. Worth every penny.

Perfect product and they look AMAZING! I love the fact that even my wife loved the way they look, and for my wife who is not a car coolness freak says something about these tail lights. FYI these are truly plug and mount!

I love the look, they function great, my only complaint would be that I am getting a parking light out error on the dash that I cannot clear. I either live with the message or find a better solution.

They work fine. No issues. Fitment on 1 has a tiny bit of a larger gap but that's all. Looks good on my 2012 Ram 1500. Crazy bright but in a good way.
