Very happy with this purchase. I chose the start-x remote starter for my 2025 Jeep Gladiator after watching install videos for several "plug and play" starters. I was surprised to find that many of them still required tapping into part of the factory harness. This one is a true plug and play. No words to cut or tap. The harness is simple to feed through the dash. The connections are secure. You dog have to par the unit to your vehicle then remove it and connect it to a computer to flash it with the firmware for your vehicle. The process was simple enough. Then reinstall into the vehicle and test it out. It worked first try. The best part was the value. Some of the competing units exceeded $300.

Everything worked perfectly, I can't believe it's that easy to install a remote starter. The hardest part was routing the cable but I found a rod and snaked it through easily after that. The software was easy to use and I was able to flash and program on the first try. Highly recommend

This took less than 20 mins to install and program. It took as long to install the software and flash the module as it did to physically install the unit. I installed car and home electronics from 2000-2018 as my job and this was by far the easiest remote start I have ever done. Instructions were great and simple. No stress. I did the install and handed my wife the key fob and just asked her to hit lock 3x. It worked perfectly. I did configure the up to 24 min run time due to how many remote starts I have done before. Thank you for the great product at a fair price.

This was very easy to install. I had to watch a couple videos to figure out the website to get it programmed but that's because I was using a Mac and the instruction are for PC. I liked how you can change the programming. I programmed it to use lock, unlock, lock to start. Overall it works great!

Very easy to install. Installed on a 2020 jeep wrangler rubicon recon edition and it didn’t work at first. Had to get some technical help to reprogram and reinstall. Set it to the max setting of 35 mins until auto shut off. But now when I get in and press the brake to put it in drive it shuts off. Not sure if it’s because it has the auto start stop and it’s the rubicon gas turbo. But we’ll see if we can get it figured out. Definitely enjoy being able to warm up the vehicle without having to go outside but despise having to start it again any putting twice the wear and tear on the starter. I’m kinda looking towards just getting the OEM installed even if it cost more. I have contacted them about this issue now and they are not responding to any emails and it’s hard to get ahold of anyone on the phone during their times of being open. Buy at your own discretion. Reviews helped me buy this but My experience hasn’t been good but others haven’t had any issues.

Overall it works and install is easy. Beware the instructions are not accurate for all years. The 2024 wranglers have a total of 7 screws that need removed to remove the trim. I also found that once it was completely installed the functions do not operate as described. It states that you can shut the jeep off by clicking unlock 3 times after running but that is not true in my case. Also it says the engine will shut down 45 seconds after opening a door and that is not true either. I dont believe it will be an issue for me but the inconsistencies are why I gave it 4 stars.

I’ve only had this installed for about a day, so the review may be premature but so far so good. I had this installed on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe. I know they say you can install it yourself, but after watching some videos about how to remove the different pieces of the dashboard, I decided it would be best to let a pro do it. I took it to a local car audio shop and he said he installs these specific Start-X products all the time, no big deal. He had it done in under an hour. Important: It comes pre-programmed for a 2020 all gas JL Wrangler so it didn’t work on my vehicle at first. He had to flash it to reprogram it for the 4Xe (Plug in Hybrid) model. Once he did that, it was all good. When I first got in my vehicle after install, it had done something to my infotainment system. The climate screen was not functioning correctly and you could only change climate with the physical buttons, but the screen was showing as if you weren’t changing anything. It was a weird glitch. I went in to the infotainment system settings and did a factory reset and that fixed it. Everything went back to functioning as normal and the remote starter still functioned properly. Not sure if it was the starter component that caused the glitch or it was something the installer did, but either way, the factory reset fixed it so all good. Pretty simple use… Click the lock button on your factory key fob three times, the vehicle starts. It will run for 15 minutes, or you can click the lock button again three times and it will shut off. One thing that is different from other remote starts is that you have to press and release the brake, and then press the brake again to shift in to gear. If you simply press on the brake and try and shift right away, the vehicle will shut off.

Cake to install on my 2025 Gladiator. The trim removal procedures will be different from the videos. With the new ones you don't pry off the climate cluster, gotta take the whole trim piece from the start button over to the grab handle. There's also a flap on the back of the handle that flips up with 3 screws underneath to release the handle. Didn't have to completely remove the panel to get the harness pulled through. Works good thus far!
