Very effective and comfortable
I have purchased several of these over the years. I cannot sleep without it. It costs a fraction of the price of the one that my dentist made for me ($200) and it is a LOT more comfortable. The custom one made by my dentist lasted a little longer, for sure, but I don't mind buying these with some frequency. They last me 6 to 8 months - you get 2 pairs, I keep one at home and one in my travel bag. I tried MANY other brands of "disposable" guards, but this is the one that fits me the best and it's the most comfortable.

Better than dentist night guard
I clench my jaw when I sleep. I used this when I got rid of my nasty night guard that I paid $350 for at the dentist. It got gross no matter how much I cleaned it. This Dentek one is great. Way smaller and more comfortable than the one from the dentist. It feels weird at first but then I got used to it right away. It rests in front of your bottom teeth and the little bite plates are in back at your molars. You can slide the plates to be in the best spot for your comfort and mouth size. I spend about 30 seconds lathering and massaging with soap and water when I wake up and it stays clean and smelling fresh for weeks. When it starts to smell funky I throw it out, but if you clean it well it lasts much longer than suggested on the packaging. I have no effects on my teeth from clenching and no jaw pain.

Teeth grinding relief from tmj
I have had tmj for a long time. When my ent doc recommended buying a night guard off of Amazon I didn’t love the idea lol. But as she had said it’s cheaper than having to get one from a dentist and pay 300 for it. I tried soo many and I didn’t like the bigger ones you have to mold because they tend to be too tight and uncomfortable and they end up hurting my mouth and jaw. I found this one and I love that it’s a more loose fit. And it definitely beats waking up to my jaw locking up every morning so it’s a win for me. My only complaint is these say they last 6 months. They don’t. I grind bad at night and go through 2 a month. Sometimes 3. But it’s still worth it though especially since it’s provides comfort and relief.

Edit: Big problem.
UPDATE: I had to massively downgrade my review, unfortunately. The product might be good for some but it actually caused me a huge problem. After several days of wearing the guard I noticed I couldn’t open my mouth as wide as normally. Today I can’t open it beyond a straw. Saw my dentist and he said he’s never seen this from a guard but my jaw is locked in the closed position. I won’t go into medical details to determine that’s what it is but that’s what it is. Had to take an X-ray to confirm. So for me this is not a product I can recommend. I’m sure it’s fine for others. But I thought I’d share my experience so others know. Oh and there’s no knowing when/if this will end. I might need a TMJ specialist. Hoping it doesn’t come to that. I broke a molar the other week and the pain was beyond excruciating. When people would reply “oh you have a toothache?” I would burst into tears. I’ve have major surgeries in my life but nothing compared to this broken tooth/nerve pain. I honestly live in fear of it happening again. When I finally got a dentist to remove it (not at all as easy as you would think) he said it happened bc I grind my teeth at night and finally the tooth cracked. If I’d worn a mouth guard it probably wouldn’t have gotten to this point and he said my dentist did me dirty by not insisting I get a mouth guard 10 years ago. Honestly if he’d said to me you are going to break your teeth and it’s going to be excruciating and expensive I would have done something. I stupidly thought it was just cosmetic and they would wear unevenly. I go to the dentist every 6 months without fail so I assumed he would see any problems. Anyway in the meantime I bought a guard that you stick in warm water and fit to your mouth. After maybe a week I was waking up with cuts in my mouth. I guess at night I’m doing all sorts of weird mouth stuff and the guard was making things worse. Well the day after I got my broken tooth removed (it could not be saved; RIP molar 31) I bought this mouth guard. A friend recommended it and then my new dentist recommended it. I read reviews that people are afraid they will swallow it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. After maybe an hour of getting used to it I forgot it was even there. It didn’t move an inch during the night. I don’t know how I could swallow it. Not saying it can’t happen but. Maybe if you sleep on your back and have an active tongue??? I don’t know but I’m not concerned about it. Still in the early stages but I’m really hopeful. Please, people, protect your teeth!

Crude but does the job
My experience is mixed. I am now used to it and it seems to do the job for the most part. But it is certainly annoying. Unless you keep your teeth closed, it will change its position so sometimes you have to adjust it. It's woken me up by shifting and getting out of place.. I've not been in danger of swallowing it, however, and I don't think it's a choking hazard. The fit is adjustable, but the stops on the plastic band slip, so once tight and set it doesn't necessarily stay that way. For whatever reason, when I wear it I often get dry mouth, as if the flow of saliva has been cut off. The whole thing feels a bit cheap and sloppy and too easy to knock out of place. It's inexpensive enough to make it tolerable but basically it's a compromise of low cost + adequacy vs high cost + custom fit.

Great! These are amazing, SUPER comfortable, adjustable I’ve tried a few nightguards to stop teeth grinding and these are by far above and beyond the best. Not much noticeable once in

First time needing or purchasing a night guard and I could not be more pleased with this purchase, and this product. I’m currently in the middle of some dental work so I was hesitant to invest in a guard that would be useless after each dental procedure. Obviously this guard doesn’t offer a perfect snug fit since it’s not one that you can heat and mold, but for my current situation, this is absolutely perfect.

Absolut keine Kaufempfehlung!! Eigentlich Null-Sterne
