Great Shaker Mixing Cup for Bubble Tea
My daughter was looking for a mixing shaker to make Bubble Tea.When we searched online most of the shakers that we saw were made of cheap plastic; not great for mixing hot tea and cold ice. Many of the other mixers were primarily metal cups; again, not great for hot drinks. We also found that many of the reviews on these mixers commented on the fact that they either leaked profusely or created a vacuum seal that made the lids hard to open when mixing hot liquids with ice.The Stock Harbor Stainless Steel Double Wall Cocktail Shaker solves all of these problems. The shaker looks great and is very well made. The double wall cup allows you to mix both hot and cold liquids without burning or freezing your hands. The shaker cap allows you to put enough pressure on the top so that there are no leaks (make sure that you press it hard while shaking to prevent small leaks), while still easily coming off with no vapor lock issues once you are done mixing. The cap’s built in strainer holds any ice back as you pour the liquid out of the mixing shaker. The cup also comes with a leak proof drinking lid that makes it easy to take with you if you want to do that too.We spent a lot of time looking at the mixing shakers that were available on the market (probably too much time to be honest). The Stock Harbor shaker was by far the best design that we found – and it’s worked great for every drink concoction that we’ve made. My daughter and I highly recommend it!

It's hard to find a reasonably priced, durable, larger capacity, insulated shaker...
I heavily researched larger capacity, insulated cocktail shakers. Trust me, it isn't easy to find a well reviewed larger sized shaker. I read review after review of leaky shakers in the 28 oz and up size range. The Stock Harbor shaker is well made, hasn't leaked so far, is a large at 30 oz, and gets the job done. I use it for iced drinks and not cocktails--namely, iced matcha lattes, iced teas, iced coffees, etc. The only negative is that it isn't the most comfortable to shake due to the larger size, but that can't be helped when seeking a larger sized shaker. The price is reasonable, and I am satisfied. If any problems arise, I will update my review accordingly.

Great big shaker
I bought the shaker for my husband as a gift. He has really likes it and it works well. The outside dosen't freeze up, it's very easy to clean and the craftsmanship is good. However, it does leak slightly at the cap (the small shot sized one), which sits pretty loosely. Also this shaker is 30 oz. It's really decent sized and is great for making drinks for two. So far the Mai Tais and margaritas have all come out terrific.

Best shaker I've owned to date
Powder coated is easy to hols and amudge reaistant. Double wall makes it easy to hold and shake without icy hands. Size is great for our use of making multiple drinks at once. Only took off one star because the lid is a little hard to press on and take off but it'll for sure ensure no spills even with the hardest shaking. It does though make me worried the seals could wear faster but so far no issues and highly recommend.

Well made, quite strong
First question is leakproof.... that's a 2 part answer. When shaking... yes, it works well... but then it gets dicey. The "jigger" is the cap to the shaker. There is no seal... it is metal on metal which means you must physically hold the cap against the shaker while shaking. No, not hard to do but a bit inconvenient. Then, when you take the cap off to pour there is some gin (or?) trapped between the strainer built into the removable top of the shaker and the cap. If you let it sit for 5 seconds it will drain out. It would be better to have the strainer as an option because they simply don't work as well as a strainer from your bar. They hold the crushed ice and clog up and you end up making a mess trying to get the holes cleared (shaking) and pouring. Therefore I remove the top and cap together as a unit (have to hold them together) and pour out the shaker through my own strainer which is faster and easier.Shaker is EXTREMELY well insulated and a perfect surface that is easy to grip and comfortable to the touch. Jigger cap frosts over nicely to give an indication of how cold your mix has become.

What You See Is NOT What You Get
Bought one of these a few years ago and it is, without question, the best cocktail shaker I've ever owned. Everything about it, included the tall cap that doubles as a 2 oz. jigger, makes it the best. Bought one this week to give to my son as a gift, only to discover that the tall cap that doubles as a 2 oz. jigger is no longer included. In its place is a small flat cap that doubles as a 1 oz. jigger. (Who uses a 1 oz. jigger?) All the photos on this site, (as well as those on Wal-Mart and every other retailer that carries this shaker) show the tall cap. That is NOT what you get. My attempts to communicate with Stock Harbor have been unsuccessful.
