Bought these for my 7 year old son for a equine vaulting competition. They were mostly what I expected them to be.The waist fit perfectly, my son is average height for his age, if not a bit on the taller side, but the legs to these pants were about 6-8 inches too long. Had to hem them so they fit properly.

Purchased this item for a pre-teen boy dance student. The measurements for waist were accurate and helpful. I did size up as he was on the larger end of the size range. They do come long in length but can be easily cut and hemmed. Hint-use iron on or fusible web products for a finished edge

I ordered these for my son who was a soldier in The Nutcracker. He wears a sz 14 husky in Old Navy pants. He's not a heavy kid just muscular through the thighs so most pants are too tight on the legs and rear end. These pants just fit him. He may be able to wear them to dance class for a bit but I doubt they will make the spring. However, they were good quality, etc.

The fit around the waist is good, but the length is way too long. I have to roll them up for my son (and he is not a short guy) so he doesn't dust the floor. Don't want to cut them off, hoping he can use them for next year as well.

The material is good quality. I read several reviews, so expected the length to be long. Size 7-8 perfect fit for 7 year old who usually wears size 8, except the length. Just had to take up the length 2".

Great overall quality and fit.

It was a bit long in the legs put the waist was great for a trim boy. Instead of hemming, we just chose to buy the next size down. These pants are very comfortable for audition, rehearsal, and show purposes as they allow ease of movement.

These pants are definitely cut for a dancer's physique: long and lean. My son usually wears 10 slim pants for his everyday pants/jeans and the 7/8 in these jazz pants fit him fine in both the waist and the length. If your son has a dancer's physique, then these are the pants you want! Also, he says that they are super comfortable, easy to move around in, and he often keeps them on after dance class just to be comfy around the house.
