Acme Thunderer Plastic Whistle

So glad to be able to find this model Acme Thunderer on Amazon. Introduced to the Acme Thunderer in the early 70s, my family has used them for dog obedience training and for three generations of lifeguards over the past 49 years. As a former lifeguard instructor, the Acme Thunderer is ALWAYS my choice over the more common lifeguard whistles. The whistle performs PERFECTLY while soaking wet, and adequately EVEN when FULL of water, believe it or not. The cork float ball is the secret to its success. The plastic is durable and the whistles last forever. I only need a new one when I lose one or when I give them as gifts.

This is a real whistle. It is very loud w/o much effort blowing. Like the ones sports referees use. It seems solid and tough too.

You have. To use a little more air to get the loudness. Use them with dog Retriever training.

Excellent loud whistle

As an official using this whistle I find the pitch of the whistle works well for indoors and also out in the open.

I was looking for an item that didn't need batteries, and I could keep it on my key chain when I'm out walking my dog late at night. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase the item. Well, I'm glad I did. This is a very loud whistle. It's the right size, it doesn't feel bulky, it fits nicely on my key chain, and it's great value for money. I'm happy with my purchase, the item is as described, and I would recommend this item as well as purchase it again if needed.
