Excellent product and value. I've been using crochet hooks of my mother's. Didn't know what I was missing. Very comfortable. Also love getting the needles.

This is an excellent starter kit. I have added embroidery to a hat with one of the included needles and have crocheted 2 scarves. I can select any scarf yarn I want without worrying if I have the right sized hook at home. The grip is so much better than the plain metal needles I used as a kid. The case is cute and has extra room to add a few more items too.

Great variety of sizes, comfortable handles, the metal doesn’t allow the yarn to slide as easily but I like that about it.

Love these economic crochet hooks. The quality of the handles if perfect and the yarn glide is perfect. It actually helps keep your stitches uniform and improved my speed. The larger grip acts as a back stop when you are going to town. I like the weight of them and the length is perfect. Bought on a lightening deal but I'd buy even if they were not because I like them that much.

What's good is great. I vasilated about how to rate these. I only needed a 1.5mm (left mine behind on a trip). I also wanted to replace my old steel hooks (both Boye and Bates) with ergonomic types. Individual hooks of high quality and reputation tend to be expensive so thought I'd take a chance on this set. 40+ years crochet experience. Most of the hooks are great. 11 hooks from E-3.5mm to N-10mm. All smooth, yarn glides nicely. Handles comfortable, well marked with both black "printed" on one side and recessed unpainted on the other. The remaining ten hooks, .5mm through 2.75 are mostly good, but a couple have mfg defects. Fortunately, the 1.5 I was after is perfect. The 1.0mm hook has a rough area in the hook, might be able to smooth out. The 1.25 mm has a malformed hook area that renders it useless. These aren't sizes I typically use, so this isn't a problem for me. The markings on the ten smaller hooks are only the recessed type and a bit difficult to see. I've used a fine tip pen to make them easier to read. The case is decent enough, with elastic loops to hold each hook in its place, and a netted section that helps hold the hooks in place. It zips closed and I'll likely use it, although I hadn't originally planned to. Comes with a good pair of snipping scissors that I like and fits into case. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. Great price, mostly good hooks. But they fall down on the smaller hooks' quality control. I'll guess it's hit and miss as to which and how many hooks are good in other sets. But if you're looking for 3.5 and larger hooks, you'll likely have good luck. Again, the price on these for the quality of the good (and numerous) hooks is excellent.

Used one of these to crochet my mom an entire granny square blanket, definitely helped with preventing wrist fatigue and managing the heft of the bulky yarn I was working with. These hooks feel like a seamless addition to the set of hooks with the same grippy handles they sell at Hobby Lobby, and cover the gap there nicely. (They are also a lot better than the weird plastic hooks of similar size on account of being smoother.) All in all once I got comfortable with them I was able to work pretty quickly. (Pro Tip for granny squares that have any kind of stitch variety between rows, for example any flower themed ones, it felt slightly faster for me to do a whole bunch of centers in batches, then the next row for all of them, and then the next and so on because the rows were a different stitch each time.)

The kit is nice and feels comfortable. The non-slip rubber is really practical when working and helps you get a good grip. I was expecting the case to be made from a different material, like synthetic leather. Hopefully this one will be durable.

This is the best over beginners kit! Everything needed in one kit…scissors, stitch markers, finishing needles included! I am delighted with this purchase! Great Quality self contained in an adorable case!
