The New Layman's Parallel Bible: King James Version, New International Version, Living Bible, Revised Standard Version

Bible did not look anything like the one in the description but it was the same book described so I let that slide. Loved this Bible until recently when I went to look up a scripture and I realized that pages 1567-1614 were missing (Psalms 119-Proverbs 1). Seller needs to do more through inspection prior to selling used product. Description did not indicate pages missing. Now I have to wonder if others are missing. Disappointed.

This is a wonderful parallel Bible. It has both old and new testaments. It came in great shape, which is surprising as it came from a secondhand store. When you open the Bible, there are 4 different versions displayed which helps you to understand what is said. This Bible actually makes it easier to read scriptures and believe it or not, makes you want to read scriptures because it helps you to understand better what you are reading.I recommend this for all scripture loving people.

I like to read my daily devotions on this Bible as I can read it in all four versions. Sometimes the King James is a little hard to understand but the newer versions explain the meaning to me. Sometimes the King James version has the verses that I remember from childhood. I love this Bible!

I have purchased two of these Bibles, one for me and one for a friend. Both of us teach the Bible and find this an invaluable tool to teach the "Truth". The truth can be found in any Bible, but when you can compare four different versions, you find a few discrepancies but it just enhances your appreciation that truth NEVER changes. You learn in footnotes what was in the original language. With a little research, if you are sincere, you will be able to discern how to tell which ones are correct and when something is incorrect. The use of different translations is refreshing and makes learning challenging. GREAT tool for comparisons. I use this weekly along with 3 other translations.

This is a great bible... But I bought 1 fairly new..no tears in paper..31.99Now you are selling 1 for 199.00.... May God forgive you for selling this great bible at that price... 😥

Exactly as said. Great addition to my standard bible. Big and heavy though more for home use only. Interesting to read the various translations. Helpful to see God.

I used to have a parallel New Testament, but lost it in my last home move. So I treated myself to the whole BIBLE this time.

The Layman's Parallel Bible by Zondervan was as said by the vendor. I am happy to get the literature (used or not) for the price. It was in good condition. It will be a help in my husband and my Bible studies. I paid a lot for my other one, new (Comparative Study Bible,over 200.00 new) which is an excellent one, well worth the money, but this one is, too.
