ACI 174090 Windshield Washer Pump

Used it for an old van. Perfect fit and works great. I don't know yet how it will hold up as I bought a different replacement not long ago and it started to leak less than a year later.

This perfectly fit my 2007 GEM E2 electric car. Easy to install with the same electrical connector. Included the washer/gasket but didn't have the screw on filter. The filter is threaded to hold the pump in place. The pump has matching threads. Save the original filter to re use.

Did not stop the leaking

Easy install, worked good for 4 months then pump failed barely pushing few drops.

Install is little tricky but a deep socket helps.The metal motor housing on my original pump from 1983 was riveted to the plastic pump body. This one uses three soft metal tabs bent over the plastic to hold it in place. I will probably seal this somehow before installing. A loose piece of metal over an electric motor which will live in an engine compartment under a tank of corrosive liquid needs all of the help it can get to keep this thing alive. My gut says not to expect another 35 years of service.

Bought one, it had a leak. Returned it and ordered a replacement.2nd one hasn’t leaked so far.50% failure rate so far...

Ignore the other reviews saying this is hard to install...its pretty easy. Put the pump into the bottom of the tank with the grommet, turn it upside down and thread the filter on to secure it in place using a long ratchet extension and a 19 or 20 mm deep socket (don't remember exactly which one it is). Comes with a new ground wire that attaches to the same firewall screw and reuses the existing power wire.
