MTV Unplugged

As a longtime fan of Alanis Morissette, MTV Unplugged is one of the standout albums in my collection. I’ve made it a point to gather all of her albums, and this one holds a special place because it offers a live recording that’s different from her usual studio work. The atmosphere is captivating with audience clapping and cheering, making you feel like you’re right there at one of her shows. What I love most is how the live setting brings a raw, emotional energy to her music, which resonates deeply with me. Songs like "You Oughta Know" and "Ironic" take on new life in this acoustic format. Plus, there are a few hidden gems here that you won’t find on any of her other albums, making it a must-have for any dedicated fan. Whenever I listen to it, I feel a sense of connection—not just to her music but to the audience, which makes the experience feel less lonely, almost like I’m part of the performance. Beautifully performed and deeply intimate, it’s a staple for anyone who appreciates her work.

The Unplugged series was wonderfully produced. This is one of my favorites, as were Nirvana and 10,000 Maniacs and Neil Young.

I absolutely love this album. I love it especially, in vinyl. What a great find. I love live acoustic music. This is absolutely her best work and there are a few songs that I like better, in the acoustic version. I love the vocal sound of this album. I literally opened this as soon as it was delivered. I couldn't wait to listen to it. I recommend this. I recommend the seller. My item shipped and arrived the next day, and I'm not a prime member. #satisfied

I was never a big fan of her music when she was popular but I bought this album because I love live acoustic music and I love variety. This album does not disappoint. She has some really great song that never got radio playing time, at least not to my recollection, and she sings very passionately. Overall, very enjoyable ... glad I got it.

This is an excellent set of AM from MTV - great compilation of her work (watch some of these live on U-tube). Intimate setting so you don't get the type of echo etc. from the venue you usually get from large scale live performances. This is very "listenable" even if you are not typically a fan of live performances. Highly recommend!

Excellent music by a premier entertainer. This girl can sing! Would buy this again, and probably will once this one is scratched up from use. Shipping in an padded envelope ensured that the case would be cracked upon arrival. (not such a big deal I guess)

Ci sono molti validi motivi per i quali si dovrebbe acquistare questo cd, i più significativi ritengo che siano: 1. il modo in cui Alanis pronuncia il jam di "traffic jam", nella traccia 8 "Ironic", al minuto 2.22; 2. tutta la traccia 11 "You oughta know", una stupenda alternativa alla versione studio originale; 3. la nota che Alanis raggiunge quando, al minuto 1.35 della traccia 12 pronuncia la E di uninvited... fa venire i brividi

There are enough reviews describing on how awesome this album is. If you a Alanis fan, you need to have this. I have listened to this CD a hundred times already and I don't think I am going to get bored anytime soon.
