O'NEILLMen's Basic Skins 50+ Short Sleeve Sun Shirt

I received the shirt and promptly put it on over top of a sunscreened back and chest. The sunscreen residue got on the shirt which made it wrinkle a tad. Upon two washes, the shirt remains wrinkled where it touched sunscreen.Not pleased with the way this shirt reacted to sunscreen. It obviously has to be worn with sunscreen around your arms, face, etc - so this seems to be poor quality or bad planning.Material does feel soft, but would not purchase again given the wrinkles - this was after 5 minutes of wear...

I like the style and color for the water - that is personal choice.Sizing - I'm 5'10" & 215lbs and this is a slim fit X-Large. These shirts are meant to be fitted so you don't have the friction swimming and this is the way it fits. I wear things a bit loose given my weight, so I was a bit uncomfortable with the fit at home. Once in the water, it feels just right. If I want to look better in these kinda shirts, I gotta put the beer down and get to the gym - where's my beer?

This replace an older shirt. Material on this version is so much better and thicker. Great shirt.

Great swim shirt, these shirts do come small I’m 52 yrs old 6’ 197lbs medium build I reordered to a 2XL. I wear XL in everything. If you buy your normal size it will be to tight. Quality of shirt is good

We bought this for my husband before we went to Florida and it worked GREAT while we were there! The sun was out bright and it was really warm every single day and this completely protected his front/back that was covered by this shirt. It was pretty true to size with great stretch. A large (typically his normal size, occasionally a medium) fit him perfect! Also, it was much cheaper than most other brands out there, but still reputable! We would definitely buy again!

This shirt is exactly as advertised. I've used O'Neill products over many years and overall quality is almost always top-notch. The shirt will conform to your body, especially when it is wet. The Elastane/Nylon material used in the shirt is heavier than the Poly/Spandex O'Neill uses in their "Hybrid" shirts. Both types of shirts are described as "Slim Fit", but the Hybrid shirts are definitely looser. This shirt is heavy duty and does an excellent job of blocking UV rays when you're in the water for hours at a time. In addition to UV protection, it is tight enough to hold a little body in cooler water.*Note that this must be hand-washed. I use a bar of soap and rinse it out in the sink. I noticed some people complain about ripples developing in the shirt, which might happen if it is machine washed. I would also avoid buying a white shirt since algae from river/ocean could stain it (and it can't be washed in a machine).

Fitted as expected. Very comfortable

My husband wore this while in Hawaii and it worked well as a sun shield. It wasn't too loose or too tight-we bought his normal size. However, this is kinda random, but it did chafe his nipples and he stopped wearing it after a few days because it was hurting him. I know that's awkward, but it's just a thing that happens with these shirts I think. My brother-in-law and nephew also had the same problem and they were all wearing different brands of swim shirts.... The shirt itself is very soft, so I'm not sure what the deal is (sensitive men in our family perhaps, lol?)

The size was completely wrong. As advertised these are supposed to be skin tight so as a result I ordered a size up. when it arrived it was massive.. Like 2 sizes too big. Still waiting in a refund for postage both ways and the item itself.

These shirts were very small and way to tight.

Worked perfectly to prevent any sunburns in hot Mexico summer sun during vacations. The fabric is very soft and this rash guard shirt is a bit looser than the usual ones you see on the beach (even if it was labeled as "Slim Fit" on the collar stamp).I am 5ft9 and about 155 lbs; usually I wear size S or M for my shirts and I ordered a L for this to be sure I'd be comfy. It was a bit too large but worked out all right.If you are on the fence about the size, order your true size; it will be a bit snug but not tight.

Really like how this isn't a skin tight style rash guard shirt. I normally take a large shirt but ordered a XL just to be sure with this shirt. Has s really nice slim contoured fit but not skin tight. I can easily wear this as a swim shirt, and then go to lunch and it looks like a tshirt. It's two shirts in one. My other rash guard shirts are skin tight have to be literally peeled off when wet

I bought a variety of sun shirts for a recent vacation. First, I'm glad I got blue as the white shirts stain with SPF. It's not noticeable with the blue shirt. Second, it's so freaking comfortable. Get it wet and it keeps you cool in the hottest weather (Dominican). The fit was right, well constructed and it's just nice.
