Homax 4092 Aerosol Texture, Water-Based Orange Peel Wall Texture, 20 oz

Ok I read all the Negative reviews. I own a painting business, I use a lot of Homax water base texture. There are things you must do. First make sure you shake the can for at least 3 minutes and I mean shake it up good you should hear the bearing rattle as you shake. I warm the can up under the tap with warm water which really helps !! Make sure you spray a squirt on a piece of card board to get it started before spraying on the wall ! Turn dial to the right all the way if you want fine texture or in between for different size texture I have used hundreds of cans ,so I am used to using this product. I don’t recommend oil based texture as it dries fast but when you paint over it once it’s dry it never looks as good as water based texture. Hope this helps this is a really great product, make sure you spray two feet back from wall you are texturing and don’t soak the wall do small spurts Try it on a piece of card board first to get a feel for pressure and size of texture you pick with dial.

It covered my orange peel wall perfectly. I sanded it flat, then apply the product about 12 inches away and I worked in little spurts. I can’t even tell where the patch was anymore. This stuff is freaking amazing.

The Homax 4092 Aerosol Texture Water-Based Orange Peel Wall Texture is a decent product for small wall repairs and touch-ups. It does the job, but it requires a bit of practice to get the texture just right. The aerosol can is convenient and easy to use, but I found that the spray was a bit inconsistent at times, leading to uneven texture. It helps to do a few tests first. The finish matches well with existing orange peel textures, but achieving a seamless blend can be challenging. Overall, it's a handy product for quick fixes, but don't expect professional results without some trial and error.

This doesn’t work at all it sprayed out like wet shaving cream and the patched drywall holes got wet and crumbled. The spray ran down the wall all over the place. And I’m out $15. Ugh.

Just need to shake it for about 10 minutes prior to use. Watch youtube videos to see how to use it well. It looks perfect to my old wall. No mess!

I had to repair a wall that is about 1 foot x 2 feet. This product worked ok in that there is a "knob" (a black lever circled in red in the picture) to adjust the size of texture. While this feature seemed to work well, for the size that I was looking for, the "lever" was in the way of the nozzle where you press down (a grey part circled in red in the picture). So it was a bit awkward to use. Good: - It "works" - but I would only use it for a small DIY job. - Relatively easy to determine the size of the texture that you want. Just have pieces of cardboards around and spray on them as you turn the black knob. Not so good: - Ergonomics - by that I mean the placement of the black knob, which can obscure the nozzle that you have to press. - It is also runny and not consistent. After a few passes, spray again on a piece of cardboard to make sure that it's working properly before spraying it against the wall. For my 1 foot by 2 feet area, I had to constantly test and check to make sure that the spray was working properly as intended. All in all, I would say that it's ok for a small DIY project.

For small projects, this is the best you can buy out there. Expensive though with amount of material inside.
