Pommery Mustard Meaux Moutarde in Pottery Crock, 3.5 oz

The delivery was on time and the product was carefully wrapped to avoid breakage of the ceramic jar that contains this superb French mustard. This mustard must be tasted to understand what a revelation such a seeded mustard brings to the flavor profiles in your kitchen. It isn’t the cheapest mustard on the market, but IMO it is the best ground mustard I have ever tasted. It is even beautiful to look at, its aroma consistent with the richness revealed on the palate. The bite is never harsh, and the seeds’ mouth-feel is addictive. Do be careful, as I was not, to order the size you really want; the ceramic jar and the etiquette are identical, so the size cannot be determined simply by recognizing the image on Amazon’s site. The jar I ordered was quite dainty, and I use this mustard often. I’d have returned it for the larger size had I not felt the urgency I did to use it immediately. Buy this great mustard once and you will never return to your standby go-to.

Absolutely my fault for not looking closer, but I'm used to buy the "big" jar of this mustard. I got today that ridiculously tiny jar for $14!!! An absolute rip off! $4.16 / ounce vs $1 in the "normal jar" And no return because it's food! Fool me once ... #@&$)+!!!!

Just open the jar, the scent will send you, then take a taste and you’ll be hooked forever !

I enjoy a glob of mustard added to marinades and salad dressings. Of course, it's used as a condiment and has piquant flavor. A top-tier mustard and one to keep handy in the fridge.

So a long time ago, when I was still in high school, I ran across a bottle of this that looks almost exactly the same except those three times the size! And the lid was sealed on with wax. Well, I fell in love with it because it just tasted fantastic, and I also also fell in love with the origin story. Apparently this was created by a single Monk and had been after that had been made by the monks in this particular Monastery ever since. Unfortunately when they stopped carrying it I was unable to find it again, and was so very disappointed and unhappy. I also did not keep the bottle which look looks an awful lot like the one I received but more realistic of a low-tech you know building technique cuz it wasn't as smooth!

This mustard is delicious. This is a tiny TINY jar. It's on me; I should have read more carefully.
