Good product
These torches look great in the yard at night. So far they are holding up well and I am pleased with the purchase. I actually bought more of them I have about a dozen now.

Very nice ambience!
We have a fire pit in the backyard and I wanted to have a “fire” look near the pit. These look great. I like the decorative grill cutout that you can see the “flame” through. I chose these because of the decorative grill, but also because they give you 2 options in height. I included a picture (flash-used) to show the flame. These are purely decorative. I have solar lights throughout the garden and I noticed that these are not as bright as my other “pathway”lights (also bought on Amazon!). In my picture, on the right-hand side, you can see the light shining from one of my other solar lights. Even though they are not pathway lights, I like them because of the ambience they create. I think they would look great near a pool or spa. The flame pops on as soon as it gets dark (before 8pm) and the next morning, they are turning off about 5:50am. On a cloudy day, they still turn on but they turn off earlier. They are also easy to assemble. Two different lengths of the stems, a stake, and the flame/lantern with the solar panel on top. They are plastic, so be careful setting them into the ground. I use a large screw driver and a rubber mallet to hammer a hole into the ground, which makes it easier to insert the stake. With the rubber mallet, I then hammer the stake into the hole. I attach the rest of the solar light to the stake. So far, I have not had any lights fall over in the wind, or rain. I’ve only had them for about month, but so far, so good.

Long Lasting, Beautiful lights
I absolutely love these solar lights! I'm the envy of the neighborhood. I've bought these twice. The first set lasted over a year. Definitely worth it!

Great lights
Bought these in 2020 and they are still working great. They stay out all summer in my flower bed or camping and in the fall for my Halloween display. It's 2025, that's amazing. Nice someone still makes something that lasts.

Awesome flickering torch lights are even better with height mod
I purchased two sets (8) of these solar torch lights last summer. I was very happy with my purchase when I first bought them and would still highly recommend them a year later, especially after my new height modification which I will explain in detail. The torch lights in flicker mode look like real flames. And all eight torch lights have held up well, even in the 100+ degree scorching summer heat here in Phoenix. Not a single lamp has failed and they still stay lit all night until dawn. Time will tell how long they last before needing to be replaced. Unfortunately the batteries are sealed and not user replaceable. My one criticism of these solar torch lights would be regarding the height. Unlike bamboo or metal tiki flame torches which are typically 5-6 ft tall, the solar torch lights top off at a height of 3ft with the extension 12” pipe attached. They look more like extra tall solar pathway lamps than tiki torches. I have my torch lights installed in my backyard pool area, so I would prefer to have the torch lights 5 to 6ft tall. This past weekend I modified my solar torch lights using inexpensive parts you can find at your local Home Depot or Lowes hardware store. Post modification, my solar torch lights are now 6ft (72” tall) and look more like real tiki torch lamps. Here’s how you can inexpensively modify the height of your solar torch lights yourself. What you’ll need to purchase: — For each solar torch lamp, you’ll need to buy two 3/4” x 24” PVC Sch 40 pipes and a 3/4” coupler so you can connect the two PVC pipes together. The pipes and coupler will cost about $4 total for each solar torch light. — You need sandpaper or sanding sponge. If you don’t have sandpaper on hand, buy an 80 grit block sanding sponge. — 2-4 cans of glossy black spray paint. I bought the cheapest Quick Color brand ($1.38 each) of spray paint available at Home Depot. I used 3 1/2 cans of spray paint for the eight 4ft PVC pipes. Two cans should be enough to paint 4 sets of PVC pipe. — Optional purchase: You can re-use the plastic spikes that came with the solar torch lights if you’re mounting the tiki lights into loose soil. I have landscaping rock and hard clay earth underneath, so the cheap plastic spikes don’t work too well for me. I replaced them with Tiki Torch brand metal stakes. The metal stakes work with the 3/4” PVC pipe just fine. Lowes and Walmart sell them (around $4.50 each). You might find them here on Amazon as well. After you’ve purchased all the parts, first connect the two 24” PVC pipe sections together using the 3/4” couplers to create sets of 4ft PVC pipe for each torch light. Spray paint fumes can be toxic if enough is breathed in, so go outside or a well ventilated area to spray paint the 4ft PVC pipe sections black. Have protection underneath the PVC pipes, like newspaper or plastic sheeting, to avoid spray painting the area around and under the PVC pipes. I would spray paint one side of the PVC pipe, wait at least 30 minutes for it to dry, turn over the PVC pipe to spray paint the other side. After you’ve spray painted all the 4ft PVC pipes, lean them up against a wall outside a couple hours to allow them to dry completely. If the solar tiki lights you’re modifying are in use as was the case for me, pull them out of the ground and remove the plastic spikes at the bottom. Set the spikes aside if you plan on re-using them and not replacing with the optional metal stakes. The solar torch lights original plastic poles are two 12” pipe sections connected with a 3” plastic joint. For the height mod, you’ll leave the top 12” plastic pipe connected to bottom of the torch lamp section and replace the bottom 12” pipe with the 4ft spray painted PVC pipe. The plastic joint will be reused to connect the top 12” pipe to the PVC pipe. Twist and pull the bottom 12” pipe to separate it from the top 12” pipe. The hardest part of this modification may be freeing the half of the plastic joint that’s inside the bottom 12” pipe. If you can’t twist the 12” pipe off the plastic joint by hand, trying using a pair of pliers to twist and remove it. With a few of my torch lights, the plastic joint was wedged so tightly inside the bottom 12” pipe that even pliers wouldn’t loosen it up. If pliers didn’t work, I carefully made small cuts in the bottom plastic pipe surrounding the joint with a small hack saw. Then used a small flat head screwdriver to pry up enough of the plastic pipe to create separation so I could free the joint. Once you have the bottom 12” pipe separated from the plastic joint, insert one end of the joint into the end of the top 12” pipe connected to the lamp. Now there’s one last step before you can insert the other end of the joint into the PVC pipe. Both halves of a plastic joint have 4 raised ridges running lengthwise. You can see them in one of the photos I’ve included. Those ridges will prevent inserting the joint into the end of the 3/4” PVC pipe. This is where the sandpaper or sanding sponge is needed. Sand down the ridges using the sandpaper or sanding sponge. Keep sanding down all four of the raised ridges until you’re able to easily slide the sanded half of the plastic joint into the PVC pipe. Once you’ve successfully connected the top 12” pipe to the 4ft PVC section, you’re done! Insert a plastic spike into the bottom end of the PVC pipe, or if you’re upgrading to the Tiki Torch metal stakes, slide the bottom of the PVC pipe into the opening of the stake. You may need to turn the wing nut on the metal stake counterclockwise to widen the opening inside. Once the pipe is in, turn the wing nut clockwise to tighten. Repeat the process for all your torch lights. Insert your torch lights back into the ground. Your 6ft tall solar flickering Tiki torch lights are now ready to wow your guests at your next Hawaiian luau pool party!

‘Where did you get THOSE LIGHTS?!’
Sooo in love with these! Everyone who visits my home asks ‘where did you get those lights?!’ They flicker like flames, warm and inviting, people just love them! Adjustable height make them versatile to your own personal preference. They last all night long, as long as they get enough solar charge. I love the on/off switch option, they can set off my outdoor security camera. There is a downside, the plastic height adjustments are poorly made, and break easily. The taller you want them, the more likely it will break. Because I loved them so much and didn’t want to return them, so my MacGyver husband stepped in. He cut metal rebar stakes about 2 1/2 feet long, put them in the ground, and now I can easily slip these right over the top. I have a taller one near the door, we used a 4 1/2 foot long metal rebar, and linked the extra extensions to cover the rebar. Problem solved! Thanks too my babe. My friend who also bought them put them up with zip ties around their camp trailer. Another great idea and looks beautiful.
