Makes your protein slimmer completely in usable, so you better have other nutrient control measures in place. Luckily my refugium is up to the task of serving as sole filtration. I did a half dose once, left the skimmer off for six hours like they recommend. And when I turned it back on it instantly foamed over. I figured ok give it 24hrs, no change, 48, 72, still no change instant foam. But my refugium is doing great keeping everything in check so I let it go for over a week, still foam crazy. So I do a 20% water change, still foams over. It took 2, 50% water changes so I could use my slimmer again. The fish do look pretty nice and happy so it wasn’t a complete waste, just wish they were more upfront about what it was going to do to my system.
