I use only one of my two pumps 17.5hp or 10 hp pump at a time as per our needs. can i use a common 15-20hp converter for both ?

No Sir, one motor requires one converter each. Both cannot be used from same converter.

This converter converts 2 phase to 3 phase, it has to be attached with your existing 3 phase starter. When there is 2 phase condition, our converter will work and when there is 3 phase current, our converter automatically gets cut off and your 3 phase starter will work. And if there is a power outage, the starter will get cut off automatically.
