BERRYPRO Surf Spinning Fishing Rod Graphite Spinning Rod (9'/10'/11'/12')

I purchased the 9' 2 pc rod... great value, no defects. The rod is designed to catch 10 - 40 lb fish. I put a 4000 series reel with 30 lb braid on it, and with only a 1 oz lure... the medium weight fast tip casts really well. With a 10.2 oz 4000 series reel and long rod butt, it's very well balanced. The eyes on the rod are very nice. There's no reason a person couldn't fish Albacore, Amberjack, or Barracuda with this setup.

I have two of these rods and they function very well. Long casting distance, sensitive to bites, good quality.

I ordered the 9ft spinning berry pro monster surf rod, and the shipping was pretty fast, it came in a big box the size of a tv witch is a good idea if they would have put. Ore than one peace of stuffing paper in it. The eyes where wrapped in plastic and tape and the first biggest eye had a nice rubber protector on it. The rod feels great thin and light but still feels like it will hold up well.. All in all this is a very well made surf rod for the price I am very Happy with it and can’t wait to break it in..

This is a light weight beast of a rod. It is heavy action but for what i wanted it was perfect. I set it up with a 5000 sharky 3 bait runner. I use it for large striper and saltwater lure castong. The rod action being on the heavy side is perfect for the bug ones that show up and has the power to hold 30lb bull reds with a fuss. So if you want a rod that can handle bigger fish and is super light weight. This is for you. I LOVE MINE AND IT IS A FAVORITE IN MY POLE LINE UP!!!!. None sponsored review. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but first impression it looks like a very well made rod for the price. I live in PA and bought it mostly for a carp fishing rod and figured the 1-3 oz rating would allow it to throw good size pack baits and still load up well without pulling small carp hooks. After receiving it it is far stiffer than I imagined/hoped and I have no doubt that it will comfortably throw more than 3 ounces. If you get on youtube there is a video of a guy throwing in upwards of 10 ounces with it. It should make a nice surf/river catfish rod but is way too stout for my intended purpose.

I bought this to pair with a new reel. I surf fish and use 20 lb braided line. The rod is light and responsive. I have not caught anything large as yet but I believe it can handle anything I will run into off the beach. Follow up. The rod broke at the tip while bringing in a fairly large sting ray. I was not over stressing the rod and the drag was set properly. I have contacted the company but have not received any reply. Do not buy a rod from this company. They replaced my original rod and it broke again while only casting a 1 oz sinker. The failure was almost identical to the first one breaking in the tip section. Two identical failures point to a design or manufacturing defect. The company has refused to replace the second saying it is out of warranty. I could not trust the rod anyway so my only loss is my initial investment.

I am an avid Northeastern surf caster, fishing for big striped bass and big blue fish. I have owned custom built surf rods and off the shelf rods. I was looking to not break the bank when i was shopping around for a 9’ surf rod, and when i came across the Berrypro I was impressed by the reviews, the images of the build of the rod, and the PRICE! I received the rod yesterday and right out the box i was impressed with it. I am a big plug/lure fisherman, the only thing i am not happy with is how stiff the tip of the rod is. As far for plugging purposes I needed something with a little more “whip.” Not the end of the world it was just a preference on my end! Other than that the rod is beautifully constructed and will definitely be able to with stand the fight of a big bass or blue fish! Highly recommend!
