Well made
I expected something cheap but servicible. However, this sling was nice and wide, thick plush for comfort for my 12 year old 90 lb Akita Boxer mix. Reccommend for simple stair assist. A full rig may be needed for other applications like vehicle entry.

Amazingly simple product & a Godsend for our puppy
My oversight senior lab mix suffered from arthritis & then suffered a back injury. She could not stand & walk & was only able to move by dragging her back legs. Using this sling I was able to take outside to go to the bathroom as well as let her walk as much as she was able. Her vet recommended a weight loss regime along with glucosamine, ifkarprofen & gabbapentin. After two weeks her back had been able to heal due to using the sling to go outside & to due minimal exercise. She hasn't needed the sling for the last six weeks, has lost seven lbs & is happy & active again. Although she was healthy except for her arthritis & back injury I was being told I would need to put her down. Thank goodness for this simple yet amazing product. Very well made & easy to use. As you can imagine from our experience I can't recommend it enough!!!

Worked as described
Definitely made it easier to move our dog around (we were using a bath towel before buying this). It was nice and sturdy and seems well constructed. Handle straps are comfortable to hold. My only complaint would be that it had a tendency to bunch up under her stomach vs being a nice wide pad to gently carry her. So in then end it was comfortable for me, but maybe not so much for her.

Works Great for My Dog who has Degenerative Myelopathy
Due to the complications that DM brings to dogs in the early stages, my Boxer pup (8 Years Old, 60 lbs.) is losing strength and confidence in her back legs. Our house is set up so that she needs to go downstairs to go outside and getting her down the stairs was a challenge, and I was not able to help much. I looked a full-body harnesses and even just rear harnesses but was not comfortable leaving her in something like that full-time. Not to mention that those harnesses can run 3-5 times more from a cost perspective. After receiving this sling I immediately put it to the test and while she was not comfortable with it at first, she has become very good with it. I can assist her in traversing down the stairs and have the added comfort of knowing that if she loses her footing I can support her so she doesn't fall. The padding underneath does not rub her or cause discomfort. I am very happy with my purchase and as much as I hate to say it, this product will probably outlive my girl. Maybe I can pass it on to someone else who needs it. Highly recommended to anyone needing to assist their dogs with mobility.

This was a LIFESAVER for us
Our 13-year old dog (shepherd/lab, 90 lbs ) was suffering from weakness in her back legs (arthritis, some slight displasia), we thought. We purchased steps to get her into the car, but she stopped using them (refusing). At this point, she was 100 lbs, we couldn't pick her up to get her into the car, so her car rides (which she loved), became a thing of the past). She became ill with an extremely bad UTI/kidney infection (a couple of months after having her spleen removed ... not related), so bad she spent four days in the hospital at a specialized care hospital (1.5 hours away). She couldn't get into the car, she couldn't get up off the floor, we put rugs over all of our wood floors so she wouldn't slip and fall (even if it was only 2 feet). I purchased this in desparation, in the hopes we it could help, and it was a lifesaver, for all of us. We were able to lift her into the back end of our SUV for follow-up visits (she could no longer "sit" in the back seat). When she visited our vet, we used it to help her stand up after laying down on the tile floor. Best news, we don't need it anymore. She is back to how she was three years ago, before all of this started. She uses the steps into the back seat of our SUV, she can get up from the floor, even from tile. However, she is 13, and still a big dog (87 lbs). This will be here, just in case needed down the road. There is NO way I would get rid of this. The arthritis/displasia will not disappear). This saved us so much stress, being able to lift our fur baby into the car to get the critical care she needed. As a result (and I can't emphasize enough how much this helped) we are able to continue enjoying this amazing dog. If you have a fur baby who is having similar issues (weakness, inability to get up without help), this is SO for you.

So helpful….
My 11 yr old 128 lb. dog has hip issues and with this I’m able to help him get up and get steady on his legs so he can walk around independently. I also use it to help him go up the stairs, I could lift his back legs to assist him ( not needed at this point), but I just apply very light pressure just so he knows I can help if he needs it and to keep him steady. It is very sturdy and soft where it comes in contact with my pup. If you have large older dogs I recommend this highly.

Almost perfect
So the build quality is amazing and the piece that touches the skin is nice and soft however i bout this to help lift my dog off the ground due to bad hips and this does not help at all once she is up it's great to have so she doesn't fall I let her do the walking and have the sling barely touching that way if her hips give out at any point or she slips on the tile floor I can catch her so bottom line I would not recommend if you need help lifting however I would definitely recommend for safety

Works well doing an important job!
I have a 125 large breed dog that became crippled in his hind legs about six weeks ago. That sucks! I used a towel for a few days to 'assist' him when taking him outside and trying to hold onto a towel while going through doorways is really a back breaker. My dog is so large I have to extend to lift him in and out of doors as we cannot go through together side by side but in single file. Anyway, I noticed in reviewing sling products many complaints regarding that sling bunching up and 'cutting' into the dog's belly and that is a main factor in choosing this product. I have to say from experience, if you put this sling on correctly it does not bunch up and it is a very durable sling and can be washed numerous times. I don't have a solution for the size/width of the sling because my large dog needs all the width which is adequate and anything smaller would most likely hurt him which means that most often your animal will urinate on the sling probably every trip to the bathroom. So, get two of these so one is in the wash and one is being used. Works great for me.
