It should be suitable for wet felting or for needle felting ONTO something, but it is extremely fine, so be prepared for a lot of knitting/crocheting

Do you have to use cold water not hot?

I do not remember what the label said exactly, but I have been knitting and crocheting for years, cold water is always best for wool or wool blend yarns

It says 100% Wool. It is soft. Rich colored. Have not used it yet for any projects. Hope this helps.

Is this super wash or must be hand washed cold?

It isn't super wash. It is regular wool and should be washed and treated as carefully as all wool.
