Flame Toys Furai Model Optimus Prime (IDW Ver.) Transformers, Multi

This is not a kit I'd recommend for a beginner in model building, as it tends to get a bit finicky at times, and requires a gentle hand in places. I'd already assembled the Thundercracker kit from Flame Toys, so I knew, going in, that this would not be a quick build. That said, I really enjoyed building this model. I had a little trouble with the torso windows, but patience paid off and they went into place as they were intended. I completed the build in about 3.5 hours, which is a bit faster than I completed Thundercracker. I like how sturdy the model feels, and how poseable it is. I like to do photo shoots with my collection, and I love having subjects that have a lot of articulation for posing, and this model is no exception. There are a lot of articulation points, with a wide range of motion, and the joints are sturdy, so the model will stay in the pose you put it in without fuss. This model is of a similar scale to "Deluxe" class Transformers, so won't look out of place amongst the toys on my shelves. The only thing I really dislike is the decals, but that's more that I'm not very good at placing them than any fault of the product or company. I'm just not very good with decals yet. I would also like to at least know what type of plastic the parts are, so I can determine if I can put them in with the normal recycling, or if I need to send them somewhere to be recycled.

Very nice. Just have to remember that this is a model that you have to put together. Other than that, once together it looks good and is pretty sturdy.

Once built he is a very nice piece to have. Articulation is nuts! My only somewhat of a gripe is the ball joint right under his chest is a little loose, but not loose enough to be frustrating. Definitely recommended for any Optimus Prime or Transformers fan!

Advanced assembly on some steps recommend. Well worth the price for any robot enthusiast.
