Perfect Little Stand!
Because my Bear Motion case does not have the option to prop up my iPad 2 in portrait mode, I bought the Arkon Fold-up Stand for Apple iPad, . . ., and I love it! I bought 2; one to keep at home and another for traveling. The neat aspect about it is that it folds up for storage and takes up very little room in whatever I put it in: my computer bag, my suitcase, my backpack's small outer pocket, etc. In seconds, I can open it up and prop up my iPad 2, and it will stay on the stand because of the rubberized pads on the back support and legs. I can prop up the iPad in both portrait and landscape modes. the legs have notches that hold the iPad in place. The legs can be adjusted for both modes, and the bottom of the legs are rubberized to keep the stand from sliding all over the place. At home, I put the iPad on the stand when I'm charging it; when I'm away, in addition to using it for charging, it sits on the nightstand and serves as an alarm clock stand or nightlight or for whatever else I need it for. If I had room on my home desk, I'd use it to prop up books for typing purposes because it makes a great book stand, too. One aspect that could be improved would be the one support it has for the back of the iPad. I wish the back support was a bit wider because when I type on the iPad while it's sitting on the stand, the iPad jostles a bit. Primarily, I use the stand for holding the iPad, not for when I am typing on it. For the money, it is surprisingly sturdy and serves its purpose well.

Great stand, with a caveat for certain users.
I can't really say anything more than the other 4 or 5 star reviews. This is a great little stand. I originally got it for my myTouch 4G but it has gone above and beyond to serve my tablet as well and fits into my tablet bag when traveling. It's tough and feels very durable. The hinges are tight and don't feel like they will wear away with time. Worse case scenario is, you re-tighten them if need be. The legs can't be tightened up but they are held in place by tough plastic pegs. It's like a skeleton and so blocks no ports on any of my devices that I use with it. It's pretty flexible and adjusts to any and all angles I need to see the screens of my devices. The stand folds quickly and easily, is very compact and overall pretty light for easy packing, storage and transport. I use it in my bedroom and kitchen, and of course I take it with me if I'm sleeping out somewhere. Ok, now for the bad part. I've found that with my tablet, once I get it to the angle I need it to be at (75-85), if I fiddle with the tablet too much it will give way and drop to the next angle. I believe this may simply be because I touch it a bit harder than need be at times, though I'm sure the tablet's weight doesn't help since this doesn't happen with my phone at all. I own an Iconia A500. I generally fiddle with it to set the alarm and parameters, play with my chumby app or just to do something that will burn some time before i'm ready to shut my eyes, also to change stations on my radio app, songs on my music app or videos I may be watching. It's not a big disadvantage and it's meant to be quickly adjustable anyway so I doubt that it could be any other way without some mechanism to hold the angle (with a thumb screw or something like that). In and of itself as a stand, it's A+. But if you use a tablet that's got a little weight to it and you plan to meddle with it without a remote control of some kind, prepare to do some readjusting. All in all, a 5 star product.

Nice Product, with multiple uses.
Nice product. This is a flexible tool suitable for use with Ipad up to tablet PC's. Obviously depending on the device some of the mechanics might be blocked by the stand, but as far as the iPad goes, it works great. It is adjustable allowing for various inclines. The "flattest" incline I could make is a little too steep for keyboarding, but it handles both landscape and portrait at various inclines and is suitable for a number of solutions. I use it mostly as a stand to allow me to use my iPad as a second display for my Mac Book Pro when I travel, and as a stand to watch media. It is too large to fit into a pocket comfortably, but that is because it is also large enough to handle a full tablet PC. My HP tablet PC fits nicely, and although it is a lot heavier then an ipad, the stand holds up well.

Perfect for use with the Kindle Fire!
\\\\\\\ Sept 2018 Update: I still use this, it's over 6 years old! Still very sturdy and dependable. At one point this stand was misplaced for a couple weeks so i replaced it with another brand. It was junk, didn't compare to this one. Luckily- i found it again! Just repurchased for a back up just in case! I ordered this to use with my kindle fire. It arrived in less than 48 hours thanks to awesome Amazon Prime! When I first opened the package I thought it might be too big, it is marketed for larger tablets like ipads. It works great with my fire. I have no issues with it being made of plastic because it's very sturdy. It is adjustable to use it in any angle and it folds compact for easy portability. I have taken into account other reviews mentioning the stand getting loose after so many open & closes. What I do is keep it open and set up almost always. (Unless I'm taking it somewhere) I charge it while in the stand, so that's where my fire sits unless I'm using it. When traveling I use a clock app & leave it plugged in on the night stand- takes place of an alarm clock. I have bought several leather covers for my fire that are bulky and some of their stands were too rigid or not sturdy enough and didn't have enough angle choices. After a friend's son scratched my fire's frame while playing games I decided to switch to a rubbery cover for better protection. Then I needed to find a stand. This stand is perfect to use watching videos and while laying in bed. I am very happy with this purchase. If ever I lose it or somehow break it, I will for sure buy another at this reasonable price!

This is awesome. Easy to adjust in several ways to avoid hitting buttons on your device. Strong , well made & better than any others I've bought. This company makes top quality stuff, I've bought other things & all are great

At the time of writing this review this will be the second time I've bought one of these.. Why I hear you ask? Well I somehow lost my first one. Not seen it since a New Year Party 2015 where it was used to prop up my iPad and thus allow my many house guest to control the sound system's music video playlist from it. It really is a simple design and likewise this simplicity is represented in a great price (less than £3.00). When folded in travel mode the legs squeeze together and the back panel then folds flat on top of the legs. Think paper fan and you get the idea. It's not tiny but it's small enough to stick in your gadget bag/luggage/handbag. If you are sat on a train/plane/boat with a table rest then this really deals with the strain of leaning over and holding your iPad for hours on end. Now in terms of stand position it has so many, the notches for the bottom legs allow it to be spread out completely to fit an iPad in landscape mode or closer for Portrait, although even full spread it will still fit Portrait. From this point the back arm is segmented and can be flattened completely up right and folder in quite low allowing you many different angles to suit your uses. The joints have a satisfying clicking range so although it isn't a perfectly smooth range of movements it allows it to be solid and locked at each angle. Overall it's simple, robust and cheap. I used mine for months without problem and was happy enough that when I lost my first one I wasn't annoyed at having to spend another few pounds to buy a new one.

Slightly pricey for its function, but it has great build quality. Using it as a keyboard display stand, which is able to support a hefty weight of close to 3kg. Love the foam padding on the contact points for extra scratch protection.
