Fox Run Marble Pastry Board, Black

It came as pictured and very beautiful! So happy to have a sanitary platform to prepare food. The peg feet are great to move it into place where you need it when cutting. I put a paper towel under it where it can’t be seen and then slide it where I want it. Works perfectly! Thank you! Sufi

Very beautiful cutting board...I must of went through atleast 10 cutting boards before landing on this one...I found it on sale for 30 dollars however I think the 39.99 retail price is totally worth it!...If you purchase you will need to purchse some new salt & pepper shakers and utensil holder to go with this expensive look!...Atleast that's what I did!

It looks great in my kitchen and is very pretty... I like the quality and design. Only thing I was not expecting is that it does not sit flat on the counter, it has little bumps it sits on but thats not bad at all. It is a nice design.

First off the item arrived in very good condition. There is a very long crack down the underside of the piece but it does not carry through to the top side and shouldn't (I'm hoping) affect the structural integrity of the board as long as we don't move it around a lot. The color of the marble was exactly as expected, mostly black with some lovely grey swirls. Two things bother me about it and along with the bottom crack have led me to a 4 instead of a 5 start review. First when I place it on my flat table the feet are not level (one of the plastic feet is always off causing it to rock back and forth slightly. Second, whomever did the polishing of the top surface completely missed on of the corners causing it to look rough and cloudy over a large portion of the otherwise lovely surface. If this patch was in the middle of the board it would be unusable as the rough area would definitely be under the pie crust. Thankfully this is not the case. I think this is a buyer beware item, you are getting what you pay for. If I had spent $160 on a higher quality board I would be more irate about these things but for the small amount this cost I don't think defects like this should be unexpected.

I absolutely love this pastry board! It has very nice weight to it and nothing sticks. Clean-up is very nice which makes baking even more fun. I used the board for the first time to make homemade cinnamon rolls, and it was so easy to roll the dough up with this board. I wish it was a little bit bigger, but I will be purchasing a larger one!

I got the black marble pastry board and it was just all white veins across, was hoping it was going to be mostly black like in the picture; its more gray. The feet on the bottom aren't rubber but a hard plastic, does not grip anything and on top of all that they aren't the same height so the whole board wobbles, I ended up folding a little piece of paper towel and placing it under a corner. For some reason I thought the corners were going to be smoother but its rough cut, slide your hand hard enough along the side of it and you'll be able to shred skin. Overall if you just want a big slab of marble, it get's the job done.

I took off one star for being grey instead of black. The grey looks good but it is not what I ordered. I took off another star for being slightly warped. I have to shave the plastic legs a bit myself so it would stop wobbling. I took off third star for getting stained when I spilled soy sauce on it. I have washed it with several different soaps including dish washer detergent, and there is still obvious discoloration from the soy sauce. I'm not sure why it got stain just from some soy sauce, or even if that is something the company could have prevented, but I don't like it so they're losing a star.

This is such an easy way to have a baking accessory that can be stored. I use it often and it is not too heavy to move about. Stays cold!

A solid cutting board, very durable, but the finish will scratch if you cut too hard on it. The feet are a bit slippery but they are functional. It is heavy, I find it difficult to lift up so I can slide off vegetables into my pot, but that is my only complaint. It is easy to wash and won't hold smells or stains.

Its marble and flat ... so what can I say really. Works awesome when kept in the freezer then brought out to collect the ooey gooey rosin.

I have the “white” version (sort of white/grey), so wanted the black and green too. I really like the look of natural stone, wood, etc. in my kitchen, so wanted to have the others. The “black” one is more like a grey, which still looks nice, but not as expected (1st picture; Amazon pic on top, mine on bottom). It almost looks like the white/grey one I have (2nd picture; “black” on top, “white” on bottom), but for 67% more ($50 vs $30), so why bother… and the plastic feet are black instead of white (they are terrible as other reviews have noted, I recommend to remove and epoxy on something better). Also, the green one arrived with a chip on the surface chamfered edge (3rd picture), and was slightly under the 12” stated (as if they tried to grind it out?), if it were the bottom I could perhaps live with it, but this will drive me crazy given the price. It is a beautiful board but should not have been sold at full price. Sadly, I decided to return them. In the future, I will want to buy items like this where I can see them before to know exactly what I’m getting. EDIT - looks like Amazon jumbled the order of the pictures when it uploaded, seems like instead of 1,2,3 it is 2,3,1
