The best by far!
I've tried out pretty much every style of pick I could find and these are by far the best. I disagree with the poster that says these are not good for noobs. These just simply make playing much easier due to the extra control you have, so they are great if you're a beginner or pro. Other picks by comparison feel sloppy and loose. They are either too flat, with less pick shape to articulate the notes, are too big and clumsy, or floppy and feel like the pick is flapping in the wind. These are contoured around the edge to give plenty of angles attack against the string, they are nice and grippy with the textured pattern for your fingers and are the right level of stiffness without being overly rigid. With respect to these being good for both pros and noobs, using a relatively rigid pick like this makes your timing much more precise. Using a floppy pick is like playing the piano with an inch of foam taped around your fingers. It makes it hard to control when the note is played. With a guitar, the note is sounded when the pick leaves the string and floppy picks create an extra degree of uncertainty about when that happens, like trying to play the guitar through a spring. Floppy picks create a lot of extra work that you definitely don't want to have to deal with especially if you're starting out. The only thing floppy picks might be good for is adding difficulty to your playing so that when you play with a good pick like the dunlop, it's much easier by comparison. But if you just want to play guitar and have the notes come out like you intend, this pick is what you want. These are the best there are out jar full of picks I have. Highly recommended!

Stealthy, and fast.
The first thing I noticed when I began using these was that Air Traffic Control could no longer pick me up on radar. Thanks, Carbon Fiber! This pick was what I needed when I needed it. I had hit a speed wall w/ Delrin .96's: http://www.amazon.com/Dunlop-41R96-Delrin-Guitar-72-Pack/dp/B0002GJ404/ This pick is stiff. Like, unbendably stiff. And the tip is much sharper than a normal pick. This forced me to use a much lighter touch, which immediately increased speed during practice. The pointy tip encourages precision, which allows for more control over articulation. I thought I'd have issues with rhythm parts that require more flexibility, but that just required a subtle technique adjustment. Further, as others have noted, these suckers do not wear out. I burn through a Delrin in one practice session. I bought a bunch of these, and I've used two of them in two weeks. The only reason I've used two is because I leave each one sitting in a different place around the house. They are showing zero wear. There is no scoring on the upper edges, there is no wear on the tip. I may have wasted money buying too many of them. The grip is exactly as others have described. Solid. Two nit-picky negatives: - First, they're black. Flat black. Because they're carbon fiber, which is flat black. So, not only are they too stealthy to be picked up on anti-aircraft radar, they're too stealthy to find when dropped. Or when set down somewhere. I suspect this may be the only reason to buy more than one. Good luck finding this pick on a dark stage. - Second, I wouldn't recommend these to a beginner. This pick requires precise control. Noobs should probably stick with standard picks for a while. But that's just my opinion. For me, this pick is excellent.

Like nothing I've ever tried
So I've been playing guitar for years, but even so I've ALWAYS had trouble with speed and string recognition. From time to time I would still hit the wrong string a little, and was still not nearly as fast as I wanted to be; until I found this pick. I can't even really put into words how much this pick is better than every other pick I've ever tried, so I'll put it in bullet points! *Never slips out of your hand or changes position in your hand, no matter how sweaty they are *Due to it being made out of carbon fiber, the pick never deteriorates (point never dulls, grip never goes away) *Due to it being textured and thick, the pick has a presence in your fingers so you always know where it is *Pick is about 60% the size of a standard pick, giving you more control of how you want to move it *Pick actually feels as though it's plucking the strings, rather than sliding off and this, gives you a better sense of where the strings are *Pick gives off a brighter and definitively louder sound *Great for both chord playing and riffs So now, here are some unbiased features of this pick: *Very thick *High bend resistance *Sharp Point *Very small Although all of these features are ones that I'd initially say "no" to, there is just something about this pick that makes you better, no joke; so buy it!

Great Pick
Size of a small Jazz III, super stiff and perfect for heavy attack. When Im on fire the stipling grips are helpful. Will probably never use another type of pick.

I miei plettri preferiti. Presa ergonomica e non si piegano manco a provarci. Consigliato per tutti i generi hard rock e metal; veramente perfetti.

These picks are solid, they're thick and carbon fibre, very long lasting. I use picks on a bass and run through picks very quick, so far I've noticed no nicks or deformation on these, they are solid. They have a very sharp tip, so there's practically no resistance when plucking strings - because of this you don't get that "chug" sound that you sometimes get when you strike the string with a thick pick - with these picks you only really get the note sound when plucking. They're quite small though, it takes a couple minutes to get used to, but once you're used to them, you'll love them, these Jazz IIIs in particular also don't slip or fall out your hand, they are very grippy. The tone is quite dull, so for electric guitar and bass they are fine, you can adjust your amp as necessary to get the tone you want, but acoustic players might want to get a thinner pick. Very good for the price, definite value - with a pack of 12, I won't have to be some more picks for a while.
