Malaco Djungelvrål Swedish Jungle Roar 450g / 15.87 Oz (Soft Salty Licorice)

I found out about this candy from a Swedish friend of mine and I had to try it. I like salt. I like black licorice. Which is exactly what this tastes like - salty black licorice. I quite like it. It’s not the best candy I’ve ever had but I keep reaching into the bag and eating more.

Not what I expected. It’s a hard candy that is coated with strong salt on the outside and the candy does not have a recognizable black licorice flavor. I didn’t finish the first piece and threw it away.

As a Swede living abroad this is a lifesaver when you crave Swedish salty licorice! 5 stars! Product came quickly and was fresh! Thank you! Tack så mycket!

It takes a while to get used to the unique taste. It’s not like American candy. I bought it because my grown kids who are 1/4 Swedish wanted to try it.

I thought maybe the previous reviews complaining about rock hard candy were from a bad batch, but mine is really hard too. The saltiness barely lasts one second and the underlying licorice is way too sweet. It tastes more like vanilla than black licorice to me.

Tasted as they should. I love them best when they are a bit older and less soft. These were fresh so I let them age properly 😂

Flavor is fine. But the product was so dried out it was tougher than leather and stuck to my teeth worse than the most aggressive toffee. Waste of money as I threw most of it out.

Wow! The seller really went above and beyond with this packaging! The licorice itself was great, and it came with free samples of other licorice which were delicious! Also came with an adorable handwritten note! Amazing
