Great tire!
So far it is great! Handles well and is well balanced.

Great tire!
Excellent tire. A little pricey but the tire required very little to balance which says a lot compared to cheaper tires. Quality is excellent!

Performance of Anakee 3 on pavement, better on gravel.
Very good street performance. I've used all the Anakee tires on my three DL650 bikes. Logging more than 100,000 miles on various Anakee models. I liked the tread pattern of the Anakee2 over the Anakee3, so I was happy to see the additional choices of Adventure and Wild. This spring I had swapped over to TKC80 front and rears to deal with mud season, which the Anakee3 tires didn't handle well. Eventually I'll try the Anakee Wild as a replacement to my aging TKC80 tires. The TKC80s tires had been my winter tire, before I moved to a location where conditions don't allow me to ride during the winter. I mounted the Adventure tire, commuted for a couple weeks, then took an 8 day 3500 mile tour. 1000 miles of highway (each way) and lots of NC & WV twisty roads. One 20 mile dirt road out of Thurmond WV over 1.5" stone. The Adventures are slightly louder than Anakee3 tires at highway speeds, but with ear plugs it is hard to notice any difference. On the twisty roads I think the Adventures might actually be stickier than the Anakee3. I have yet to have them slide. I really liked the predictable traction limits on the Anakee3. You could feel it start sliding and traction was very linear and predictable. I have not yet experience how the Adventure looses traction on pavement. On gravel it is very predictable and you can slide out the rear nicely with a hearty twist of the wrist. I'm hoping the traction on the Adventure behaves like the Anakee3 and isn't an all or nothing tire. So far very nice tires for a VStrom and 80/20. I was also unfortunate enough to have the opportunity to plug my rear tire. Our gas stop in Cherokee NC before getting on the Blue Ridge Parkway revealed a screw in the center of my rear. Removed the screw, reamed out the hole an popped in a plug. Purchased new glue from the gas station and pumped up my tire with their air pump. Stopped on the Blue Ridge to test the pressure and let out air (air temps in the 90F range). By the end of the day I nearly forgot about it. We then road 1000+ miles home on the highway plugged. Ordering a new tire now, but plan to commute on the plugged tire for the summer.

Good value
Great tire for the road and occasionally gravel, not an off road tire for sure. Installed on the rear of my 1996 BMW r1100gs. Installed it my self with no problems. Put about 1000 miles so far with some wear but holding up well.

Stick to the roads
Great tires. Great grip even on wet surfaces. Shipping time was good and arrived in excellent condition. Only dislike is no dots from the factory for heavy or light spot to aid in balancing.

Perfect compromise of dirt and street for adventure riding
I use these on both my Indian FTR and Yamaha Tracer. I often ride nasty dirt roads. The dirt performance is incredible with only a very slight loss of traction for street use. And in fact, when I see gravel in a corner on the street, I smile. Yes expensive, but you are riding a motorcycle whose natural inclination is wheels up. Well worth the expense.

Terrific asphalt tire, solid offroad tire
Second set on a BMW 1250GS. On road, these are great handling tires, predictable, and can be pushed hard. Solid wet performance. Off road, they will handle dirt and gravel with ease, sand is not its forte (not a surprise given the tread), and mud is so so (better than sand, but, again, these are not aggressive tires). But if you're riding mostly on the road, and have some gravel, dirt roads and reasonably dry soft soil conditions, these will perform great, and then you can ride home on the street. Great 90/10.

Great Gravel handling
I can't believe how much better this tire is on my KLR 650 on gravel roads than the stock dunlaps. The stock tires look more aggressive and off road capable, but they would always wander back and forth. These track so much nicer and feel less squirrely when cornering. A little smoother on pavement as well and the reviewers who said they are loud either have better hearing than me or have a much quieter bike.
