We expect nuclear war, so we buy them to have some minimum food first two weeks after nuclear explosion in London. Only the issue with these is that you need to drink water after eat them. Otherwise are OK. Very happy.

These waterproof vacuum sealed biscuits have a dry, sandy texture and are basically just flour, sugar and fat. Mildly sweet and very dry if eaten as is - you need to eat it with a drink, ideally, else a crumb at a time. But if you have some hot water or milk to hand, you can crumble a bar to make a hot, sustaining meal that's reminiscent of Farley's Rusks.

Survival exercises entailed me finding and eating things that you wouldn't otherwise consider as 'food'. These little bars are, as far as I'm concerned, something to add to other foodstuffs. As I have absolutely no intention to be adrift in a lifeboat, there are always things to eat if you learn and search for them. Add these little gems and you will not starve.

Bought in case of an emergency situation. I was expecting them to taste like shortbread, which I quite like. Just tried one and they have no taste or smell, just slightly sweet with a sand-like crumbly texture. They remind me of baby rusks and turn to sludge when chewed. Really wouldn’t want to have to live on these for a long time and I usually enjoy bland tasteless foods. It says on the packet to only eat when hungry and to eat small pieces. You’d have to be starving to eat these and you certainly wouldn’t manage more than one serving. I would recommend buying just one small box to try before ordering in bulk like I did as there may be better alternatives out there. I guess they would serve their purpose though. Expiry date is five years from purchase.

Delicious dry texture which if eaten like a biscuit 2 only at a time. These are tightly compressed ingredients. Each biscuit looks measly but expand in mass in contact of milk water and in your stomach if eaten dry. Two couldn't be said to be filling of the stomach but in essence by making some kind of comparison here if you've ever eaten half a packet of biscuits like for example Marland or say a quarter packet of Digestives then you'll understand 2 as representative of a meal and more nutrition than regular biscuits..
