Excellent, gives that nice, light but definite support to the lower back without shoving you off the front of the seat! It's not bulky, you don't have to spend ages getting it into the right position only for it to slip down. Very good value, if you've got back problems start with this one. Since it doesn't need strong strapping to keep it in the right place there's nothing really to break. You could get away with not using the elastic straps at all, all they're needed for is to stop it slipping off the chair. I haven't tried using it on a sofa or armchair but it would probably help there as well just because it doesn't need to be fixed in place. No, very pleased - and even more pleased I wasn't tempted to go for anything more expensiive!

I finally figured out that the two non-stretching vertical buckle straps were not to fix it to a chair back, but rather to increase or decrease the depth of the support, and this works, however I dropped stars for only providing a vertical-centre-attached elastic-fabric back-loop for holding it to the back of a chair, because this alone allows significant unwanted horizontal and vertical movement! My current mounting hack is to use very strong magnets (salvaged hard-disk head-seek ones), behind the back of a seat with an unpadded mesh-plastic back, to tightly magnetically hold the top of the support's steel frame securely in place. A better solution would probably be to add two more non-stretching adjustable buckle straps, attached at the top and bottom of the support, on both sides, to hold the support securely to the back of a padded or unpadded chair back.

This is raw second one of these back supports we have had, the elastic gets week over time but it did last a long time.

Rubbish. Had one years ago for the car so I bought this one and there is no support. Tried returning and they want almost £ for return... Going in the bin and putting it here so you don't make the same mistake.

The back support was not as firm as it should be for a support, also the straps on the top are made too short which does not allow for you to attach it to the chair, thank goodness there was a second strap that could go around the back of the seat. This is the reason for a low score.

Used in the car brill

I bought this to fit a car seat. The strap to fit is is far too small (to go round the seat upright but probably fine for a chair) but I’m using it unfitted and it’s ok. The tension straps are a waste of time. They so short that is so fiddly to adjust. I’ve got a period to go before deciding whether I’ll keep them
