Ateco Bench Scraper / Dough Cutter - wood handle

I ordered mine after using one at a friend's while house sitting. I don't know why I didn't buy a kitchen tool like this long ago. I generally don't like kitchen gadgets and have little room for clutter, but this scraper is definitely worth it. I haven't had trouble with the finish on the handle with mine.I'd say this is a must for every kitchen that does actual food preparation and chopping of fresh vegetables. I love it when a product fulfills a need so nicely.

This is sturdy and useful. It's also easier to keep clean than the kind with the rolled metal handle. Horrible things can dwell inside that tube (on the other kind). I recommend this one.

Effective item for efficient work

This scraper is a good size, and does the job well, but I have to take off points because of the wooden handle. I washed it several times, and the stain on the handle continued to run, including permanently staining a dishcloth. If you get it, I would recommend sealing it with polyurethane, or something else.

I bought this scraper to use as a frosting smoother for cakes. It is well made and does a great job. The reason for 4 stars is that the finish on the handle,(a light brown color),comes off on your hands when it is wet.

I love this tool and use it every day. It is better made and more attractive than any scraper I've seen so far. Great value!

Good quality and a fair price.

I used this kitchen tool at a scone baking class, so I ordered one for myself. The price was very reasonable, and I will be using it to cut my scones, pie dough, and pizza dough. If you're a baker, you'd find it handy and helpful.
