Revision Military Hellfly Ballistic Sunglasses

Ok I will keep this simple...I have had these for 4 years now.. I use these for everything, Motorcycle, Hunting , fishing work and so on.I am a combat Vet and needed something that wont scratch and last. Did I mention 4 years of hard use. They finally gave up on me..But time to buy a new pair.. For the price, these cant be beat. I have tried everything 200$ to these and these win out. You cant go wrong!

So, I'm super picky about how my shades fit. I'm hard on them, and out and about all the time. I purchased these because of the claims they were scratch-resistant, and would last. They fit me well, and that's important.As for the scratch-resistant, it's better than wal-mart, and worse than lots of other stuff. But for the price point, it's ok.My huge beef is that the nosepiece seems to dissolve. They are using plastic/rubber that is not remotely sunscreen resistant, and even seems to dissolve and become gooey just from sweating on it. Come on! These are SUNGLASSES! Need to be sunscreen compatible!

First off they are a comfortable fit. Look great and seem rather rugged. The issue is with the Photochromic lenses. They are all but worthless. I own many pairs of prescription eye glasses that are photochromic, so I know they will never become as dark as a dedicated pair of sunglasses are but, the Revision photochromic lenses are pathetically shaded or should I say they stay the same shade regardless of the light or lack there of. Therefor they are WILDLY overpriced!!!

Had a pair of another brand name of sunglasses, but unfortunately the scratch protection was only on the outside lens, the inside face where sweat would drip on, has scratched up the lenses pretty badly. So far I have not had the same issue with these, but time will tell. I dont recall if these had the anti scratch on both sides or not. If they do I would assume they will hold up very well as the others did (my own fault for not knowing if both sides are coated).

I do not see any change in lens color at any exposure to sunlight for any duration of time. Some people wrote you have to wait 30 minutes for lens to change? Terrible product. I would suggest getting polarized lens with dark or other color lens. This is absolute junk. Why is it $99? I do not understand! Are these fake or what I am missing here? $10 sunglasses from a pharmacy store provide more protection from sunlight than this junk.

I bought these sunglasses for a trip to Nevada in July. I was afraid that my regular sunglasses wouldn't be sufficient, and I was right. I was out on the desert for two days in the hot sun and my eyes did not suffer at all. I could see everything clearly with no discomfort. I bought a pair for my son and 'm getting another pair for my husband.

-They are very comfortable-They fit my big head-They look good and seem to be durable-I would recommend them and purchase them again.Update:I have had these almost a year now and they are still going strong. I'm not the kind of person who takes good care of their glasses (which is why I usually buy the cheap pairs), and I have not taken good care of these. That being said, these glasses are still in very good condition. They are difficult to scratch, they hold their shape, and the lenses stay put. After using and abusing these glasses for the last year, I can say with confidence that I will purchase these again (assuming this pair ever wears out).

I had a pair of these before, they were great, but the pair I just purchased is not evenly made. I attached photos at differing angles to show it. It does not sit comfortably on my face, even when the rubber nose rests are set at the appropriate positions. One side of the glasses pushed further than the other. I would have expected better quality from this company. So far I've had a 50/50 chance of this company being good or bad. So, I loved the first good pair, but hate the one's I just purchased. Buy at your own risk.

The photochromic lenses don't get dark enough despite full exposure to UV rays for a prolonged period of time. I am constantly squinting due to lack of transition in the lenses, making this pair with these specific lenses useless. The frame and travel case are fine. Will return.

Love the sunglasses. quality is superb. worth's the money. it doesn't cover all around my eyes, especially the lower side is wide open but I'm good with it as I use it for mostly driving and walking my dog. its comfortable, adjustable to your nose size and light enough to not feel it when wearing it for longer periods. Thumbs up!

Great product, but too small for my oversized melon so gave them to my son. Love the hard case, microfibre bag they came in, and the polishing cloth. Great product and great shipping speed.

One of my phobias is that I am scared of anything bad happening to my eyes so the number one reason why I wear sunglasses when outside is to protect my eyes from anything that could go in my eyes. For many years I searched for sunglasses that completely protect eyes and I thought I had finally found that when I came upon this brand. I tried this pair for the first time this morning, it was almost pitch black outside plus we do not have a lot of lights on our street, I was about to forget about walking this early when I remembered about it. It does protect the eyes well but where the nose is and close to the nose it is not fully protected, I think that without that nose protector (or whatever else it is called) that area would also be fully closed so then fully protected. Also about the nose protection, I was not very happy when I first saw it but I have to admit that it is comfortable although I had a problem with it when I took the glasses off when back in the house after my walk (was out for less than half an hour - thanks to the small part where it is not fully closed off wind passed through and that made my eyes cry a little - when i took off the glasses it actually hurt because that part of the glasses had like frozen on my nose - the wind was cold but far from freezing). So this is a great product, it not being fully on the skin does disappoint me but this is the best pair of glasses for protection I have had in my life.Today I tried the smoke lenses and I found one fault that I did not know the clear lenses had because that walk I took with it was short. After more than one hour it starts to hurt the ears. Nothing else is changed about the clear glasses review except that instead of being a great product it is good.Now the smoke lenses sunglasses I tried today for a walk of almost two hours. I had the same issues as the other one which is that because of the two things for the nose (sorry still do not know how its called) the eyes are not fully protected and also thanks to these things it hurt when I took it off eventhough this time my eyes did not cry and it was not cold and windy today. The lenses are not very dark (i actually thought that i had taken the other by mistake) and yes it does protect against the sun but not when it is fully shinning.So the clear lenses are good and the smoke lenses are average. These two sunglasses are still the best I ever had as far as eye protection goes for what can enter the eyes but with all the other issues it is disappointing especially when you consider the price and for who these glasses are made.So now I have worn these sunglasses many more time (today is November 17 2015 - sorry about not writing the date in the first update [second + third + fourth paragraphs] i had no idea how updates were made then) and now I am more than disappointed, I dislike this product and that dislike is almost hate. The space where the eyes are not totally protected is small but when the wind is strong it's like a small tornado inside! It is ridiculous especially since it is made for soldiers plus the price is not cheap.

I bought these for my husband as he needed tough glasses. He doesnt use them very much as he finds the lenses aren't dark enough to block the sunlight. I am unsure of the durability as its still early but spending $80 on sunglasses to have them not be dark enough is a little disappointing.
