Great beginning study! Only missing a few pieces. Still highly recommend!
This is a great, beginner's guide to in-home ABA. It's an easy read and very accessible for those brand new to ABA and a good resource for those with a decent history in the practice. She addresses many questions I've fielded from parents, and doesn't overwhelm you with technical jargon. I'd definitely recommend it to any family beginning ABA therapy and to new therapists or supervisors. That said, she isn't a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and leaves out some rather important information regarding the roles of those certified with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. She does give good, general answers to questions like, "Can I ask my therapist to babysit for me?" But never references our code of ethics that prohibits those scenarios. She answers them well and correctly for those not certified, but the truth is that many situations that arise in ABA therapy are answered by our code of ethics, which isn't really discussed in the book. I still would recommend it highly, but would also encourage families to look for material written by licensed or board certified practitioners to compliment and give you the whole picture. (The Behavior Analyst Certification Board owns titles such as the BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT designations but I can't do a copyright symbol from my phone. But those titles belong to this board, for the record.)

Good basic book about aba
It was okay, anecdotal book. I believe the author was good at providing basic information but I feel like it would have been better to go into detail about the process of obtaining ABA and more information on who would require such services and why. Not a bad book just not very in depth.

Super basic! Title misleading
I guess if you are not in online autism group, this is a book to read. I did not find this book worth my money 😤

A must have for new families that will be receiving ABA.
I recommend this to every family who will be receiving ABA in-home services, especially those who have not previously received ABA.

Gives an autistic mom a beacon of hope in the form of ABA therapy and explains how easy it is to incorporate ABA in a regular day of my child

É baseado no sistema americano, então muito não se aplica no quesito plano de saúde no sistema brasileiro. Mas é bem explicativo sobre o que acontece, principalmente para os pais q estão iniciando o método e se sentem angustiados

This book is just about external trainer preparation it is not providing any idea of how aba can be done in-house
