Tom's of Maine Fluoride-Free Propolis & Myrrh Natural Toothpaste, Fennel, 5.5 oz. 2-Pack

I had become sensitive to the burning of peppermint in toothpastes (that left my mouth feeling like my gums were on fire!), and when I searched for an alternative “flavor,” I only found “children” type options. I had actually settled for “bubblegum” that I was using for many months, but I really wasn’t happy with it. I was complaining about the fact there are so little options in this area when a friend mentioned that Tom’s of Maine made a fennel flavored toothpase. I was skeptical, (for anyone who isn’t familiar with fennel it has a black licorice taste), but this isn’t sweet like the candy, and is on the milder side. So if you have a dislike or issue with peppermint like I do, I would still say to give this a try. I find it a great “adult” alternative and am thrilled to have this choice. Even my husband, who is VERY picky about everything - tried it - and he says his teeth feel cleaner using this product. I hope they never stop making it! Kudo’s Tom’s of Maine. I originally started using Tom's of Maine toothpaste because I could no longer use brands like Crest, Aim, and Colgate due to the sugar content, being diabetic. Even a little in the toothpaste is too much for me, even with artificial sweeteners. I bought the Fennel flavor by accident a while ago, but really liked how it tasted, so have tried to stick with this variety since. It's a little like licorice, but with a spicy kick; and cooling flavor/taste, due to the Xylitol, which obliterates any nasty sugar buildup, yeast, or staining, leaving your mouth feeling cleaned and like you've just eaten a cinnamon red hot. It's hard to find in any store but Whole Foods, and now that we've moved, there's no store close to us. So I was very pleased to find 2 for about $12.00 - that's very close to the $5.00 apiece I would pay at Whole Foods. The Cinammon flavor of Propolis & Myrrrh isn't bad, either; but that's another product review for another time.

This is my favorite tooth paste ever. Love that it’s fluoride free, it tastes great & makes my breathe smell so good! I love that the box has like a smooth matte feel to it I almost want to keep the box just cuz haha. I always order it on Amazon since it comes in the two pack & it lasts me, also because I can’t find it in stores. If you’re looking for a fluoride free natural tooth paste this is the one! Tom’s is the bomb! Worth the money for quality & quantity.

A few years ago I developed erosive oral lichen planus. Apparently, no one knows what causes it and there is no cure. Sometimes the condition is dormant, but when it flares up it makes eating spicy or tangy foods impossible—it’s even painful to eat a salad with Italian dressing! Brushing my teeth with my usual Crest 3D White toothpaste brought tears to my eyes. I’m not a baby about pain, either. I tried toothpastes for sensitive teeth, baking soda, oil pulling, children’s toothpaste—I was ready to give up. Until I found Tom’s of Maine Propolis and Myrrh toothpaste, that is. It is the only toothpaste I can use comfortably, but not only that, it does a great job of keeping my teeth clean and white! I love the taste, but I do realize that it may not be to everyone’s liking. If you have oral lichen planus (or any sensitive mouth condition) please give this a try.

Wonderful product with a great taste. Very refreshing... and after using this for nearly a year... you'll notice just how irritating regular fluoride toothpaste is on your gums. I would ALWAYS be told by my dentist since I was a kid that I am not brushing my teeth hard enough or long enough. So I would go home and scrub my teeth harder each time. Now that I'm an adult, I have receding gum lines thanks to poor instruction from dentists who I now realize no nothing about oral health. My current dentist warned me that I may need gum surgery soon. After I stopped using fluoride toothpaste and switch to this, my gum health has improved dramatically. My last dentist appointment showed that my gums have improved greatly and I had zero cavities and a clean bill of health. I switched to my fluoride toothpaste for a couple days cause I ran out of Tom's toothpaste... it burned my gums and irritated my mouth. I can't believe how strong of a chemical fluoride is now that I've stopped using it. I used to be a supporter of fluoride, but now I realize that I was doing more harm to my mouth and simply supporting a dental industry making billions off of us because they pushed products that would keep them in business. Switch to this product and use it for 3-6 months, and you'll notice a difference too.

Best toothpaste. My daughter is allergic to mint and Tom's of maine is the only company that has mint-free toothpaste that isn't cinnamon. This is one of our favorite flavors. It leaves you feeling fresh and clean but in a way that is very different to the way mint burns. Even I stopped using mint toothpaste after trying this and I am not allergic and I (used to) love mint. It is not drying like mint, doesn't burn like mint, leaves you feeling clean and fresh unlike cinnamon. If you like this one there are a few other flavors you can try. Hands down the best toothpaste. They have ones with fluoride too and we tried those, but we like this one since it doesn't change the way food tastes right after using it, which is what fluoride does. So brush your teeth and grab that apple. I promise it wouldn't taste weird.

Very good product with no artificial sweeteners. Very bad packaging department. I see why they end up sending the wrong flavors so often. All flavors come in the same green box with the flavor name written in very tiny letters and you have to search for it. The 3rd time was the charm.They did manage to send me the correct flavor, but when I first opened the box and saw green,the steam came out of my ears and I had a few choice words. My husband came over to see what the problem was and he was able to find the flavor name. So good product,bad move on the packaging department. Since this is a non-returnable product. The company lost a lot more than they supposedly saved by changing their packaging. 🙄 What a waste of time,shipping costs,and product Since I am allergic to the mint family. 🐾🐈 🐾

I like the flavor, have always used it and now with no Fluoride, I don't plan on stopping. I don't use products with Fluoride, check out the research on it. Because people haven't, they continue to use what is now a problem with it. They still believe it is good for your teeth and I guess that is why Tom's still makes it because the company knows that is what most people look for in their toothpaste, but not all. I do recommend this toothpaste. It is a 5 star winner for me.
