Better Than Expected
UPDATE Nov 2020 As expected, bits of black enamel began flaking off after a week of regular use, so I now wear it only for special occasions. However, I am going to try stabilizing the damaged bits with clear fingernail polish to prolong its life. I always receive compliments whenever I wear this necklace! ----- After reading the negative reviews, I was expecting a small, poorly constructed piece of junk, so I was quite pleasantly surprised to receive such an adorable necklace. This piece is clearly inexpensive costume jewelry, but its low cost combined with its visual appeal makes it a great deal. The pendant was surprisingly large: the size of a US quarter. The length of chain lets it hang about an inch below my clavicle (my neck is on the large side of average for a US woman). The picture of the peeping cat was perfectly visible behind the clear cabochon (I'm presuming it's plastic, but it could be glass as the charm has a decent weight). The chain and clasp are covered in black enamel as are the non clear parts of the charm. My biggest concern is that the enamel will flake off easily, but so far that hasn't happened (although I've worn it only a few hours). This necklace does not feel overly sturdy, so I will not be wearing it for days on end nor bathing or sleeping in it. But due to its low cost and cuteness factor, I do recommend it for the cat lover in your life. (FYI, it did take a little longer than originally stated to receive, but the Amazon app kept me abreast of the changes so I wasn't left wondering what happened.)

Bought this for my sister who loves cats. She immediately put it on & sent me a photo of her wearing it. The chain may not be durable, but can easily be replaced. Would buy it for all ladies who love cats.
