Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite as sci-fi geeks taking a pilgrimage to America's UFO heartland. There they meet a smart-ass alien, Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen), who takes them on an insane road trip. As they struggle to return Paul home, the little green man might just take the outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. From the director of Superbad, Greg Mottola, and with a stellar supporting cast including Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Joe Lo Truglio, Jane Lynch and Sigourney Weaver, Paul is a must-own comedy adventure not to be missed!Bonus Content:BloopersBetween the Lightning Strikes: The Making of PaulRV Doorway: The Cast of Paul On-LocationRunway Santa Fe: An Interview with Nancy SteinerSmithereens5th Date Level Direction: The Cast on Greg MottolaMexico Zero: The Locations of PaulThe Many PaulsPaul The MusicalThe Traveler BeagleThe Evolution of PaulSimon's Silly FacesWho the Hell is Adam Shadowchild?Theatrical TrailersTV Spots USTV Spots UKGalleriesFilmmakers' Commentary with Greg Mottola, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Bill Hader and Nira Park (Theatrical Version Only) Review: Funny, all the way thru. - The best damned movie, action/comedy/thriller, love the Brits, best line in the movie " anybody want one of these, huh, huh!?!" What it Would REALLY Be Like to Meet an Alien!
Graeme and Clive, two English nerds, travel to L.A. for Comic-Con in an R.V. Tootling down a deserted desert highway at night, a big Men-in-Black sedan passes them at high speed. All of a sudden, the car starts swerving, then shoots off the road to roll over in a spectacular crash. Our heroes stop to see if there are any survivors. Turns out there was only a driver in the car and he made it out OK. Turns out, also, that he is a little green man. Well, grayish-green. The eponymous Paul has escaped Area 51 and needs help getting back to where he can be picked up to go back home. After they get over the initial shock, Graeme and Clive are just the guys to help him. This turns into a rollicking good buddy movie, with chase scenes and a love interest and lots and lots of laughs. “Paul” was released in 2011. It is 104 minutes long, with the unrated version 109 minutes. It is rated R mostly because of the language, which is feisty to say the least. But this is a very funny movie. Not quite as funny as “Shaun of the Dead” (2004), but it is up there. Simon Pegg (Graeme) and Nick Frost (Clive) work so well together, and you just LIKE these guys - even if Clive is annoying. Seth Rogan does a great job as the voice of Paul and the supporting actors are very good. I have the combination set, with BluRay and DVD discs. You can listen to the movie in English, Spanish, French, or Descriptive Video Service. Subtitles are also available in English SDH, Spanish and French. The BluRay disc has its own Bonus Features: A. “Between the Lightning Strikes: The Making of Paul” B. Behind the scenes featurettes I haven’t seen these. On the DVD disc, you get a Commentary Track and 6 other bonus feaures: A. Commentary Track with Greg Mottola (director), Simon Pegg (plays Graeme), Nick Frost (plays Clive), Paul Hader (plays Agent Haggard) and Nira Park (producer). When Paul is first shown, on that night in the desert, a commentator exclaims, “Look at his eyes. They’re amazing!” And Mottola says, “They did an incredible job. It took a good 7 months to get his eyes right.” In case you were wondering, The Big Guy’s office was filmed in a parking garage! And, yes, that really is Steven Spielberg’s voice on the speaker phone. B. Bloopers (11 minutes) In particular, there were a lot of retakes when they had trouble keeping a straight face while listing Shadowchild’s books – and no wonder. C. “The Evolution of Paul” (54 minutes) Commentators include Greg Mottola, David Lowry (lead animator), Judy Johnson (visual effects supervisor), Anders JJ Beer (animation supervisor), Scott Holmes (lead animator), Eamon Butler (head of animation), Jason Horschaft (animator), Hal Couzens (visual effects producer) and Julian Foddy (CG supervisor). This special covers the creation of the animated Paul. Mottola says, “Trying to direct an animated character is, feels kind of like giving an actor direction via twitter from the other side of the globe. You tell them something and then three months later you find out what it looks like.” D. “Simon’s Silly Faces” (2 minutes) E. “Who the Hell is Adam Shadowchild?” (3 minutes) F. Galleries. Many many shots of rehearsal photos, storyboards, posters and others. Happy Reader

AWESOME ACTION, THRILLS, COMEDY, AND HEART.....and lots of cussing.....
I am revising my review. At first, I reviewed it with three stars because of the profuse cussing. However, I am giving it 5 stars based on its own merit. I actually enjoy this movie very much! The more I watch it, the more I like it. I like the "unrated" version better because it has more footage and feels more complete to me. The acting and directing and writing are awesome. Graeme and Clive the two main characters, are swept away and become fugitives with Paul, the Alien, as they end up on the run from the secret government Black Ops agents who want Paul dead! In this comedy, even the agents are not without wit and are likable to some degree. This is a great cast of characters and everything fits extremely well and the story is sequenced nice and tight. Great job! This road adventure movie has all the thrills of a spy movie, the inspiration of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and MIB, with tons of laughs - all wrapped up in a road trip with two British Graphic Comic geeks and an Alien making it all happen. We get a view of "America" thorugh the eyes of these two fun loving geeks as they encounter the stereo-typical redneck types throughout the movie. The movie is cleverly written, full of laughs and excitement from one entertaining scene to the next. I appreciate the amazing motion capture and the excellent computer graphic animation. The details of Paul, right down to the skin textures, lines, blood vessels, etc., is phenomenal. Paul is very "human like" in that he bubbles with a raw "down-to-earth" personality that challenges the frayed nerves of his sci-fi geek companions, Graeme and Clive. It is forgivable for the continuity issue of size relationship of Paul to his human friends in a particular scene (an error in size proportion of the Alien to the characters he interacts with - he is oversized in these shots at this particular scene and section of the movie), but it doesn't slow down the action and the fun-loving adventure as these lovable characters find their way to their destination. For once, FINALLY, we have an "Alien" movie that does not portray Aliens as freaky insects, monsters, or evil beings that want to take over the world and eat peoples' brains out. Paul is approachable, friendly, and full of life, even though he is rude and disgusting at times. It is a great movie if you can handle the uncontrolled four letter words that come up in nearly every scene. Once you get past that, it carries itself. I just wished it would have been made without all that cussing. I hope they make a tamer version of it and dub in different explicatives. Men in Black and Raiders of the Lost Ark, all the other great action movies were able to carry the movie fantastically without foul language and I hope if this movie is ever re-mixed, it would step up to the plate and make a version with a clean mouth. It would have been a good family movie too if the cussing could be knocked down a bit.

Paul is an epic sci fi comedy with countless references to classic sci fi movies and TV... starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Seth Rogen, you know it’s going to be good. An American road trip with a smart assed alien who’s just escaped from Area 51..Paul is such a great movie for sci fi and comedy fans.

Opinión para la edición alemana del bluray de Paul, con ASIN: B004TECRCM La película tiene audio castellano y los extras tienen subtítulos en español. La portada es reversible sin el sello alemán de la edad. Un saludo :)
