I bought a set of these last January for two little girls and they are still in use in December. One has gone through the dishwasher and (as warned) the coating is coming off a bit. They are supposed to be hand washed only. The one that has been hand washed only is both functionally and cosmetically perfect after many many uses. The one with the damaged surface still works too and is still in use. I bought a bunch more of a different design for the holidays this year. If they work half as well, I'll be happy. If these got broken I would buy again.

It is a fun mug to give as a gift, but make sure the liquid is hot for the mug to work well. I gave to my grow granddaughter am she love it. Real cute.

I purchased as a Christmas Gift for my brother and his wife. Great for tea or coffee. The mugs are cute, but should be hand washed. The dishwasher could affect the color change.

Definitely an interesting mug. Came in perfect condition (no chips, scratches, etc.) Gave it to my mother for a Christmas gift. It was great the first couple of times using it as the whole mug changed color along with the temperature of the liquid. However, after a couple of times using it, I noticed that where ever the liquid stopped, the color of the mug only changed up to that point (i.e. if half the cup was full of coffee, only half the mug changed to white... while the upper half remained black). I realize that maybe the entire cup needs to be scalding in order for full change, so I'm not upset about it. It is what it is.. But figured I'd put that out there for anyone who might be picky about this.

These mugs are very cute. We saw a video on-line and my wife just had to have one. We ended up buying a pair. The only issue I have is there were some scratches on one of the mugs. When cold (dark color) the scratches are very noticeable, but when they are filled with hot coffee (light color) you will not notice the scratches. Not worth the trouble to return them. Have to be hand washed of course.

Great product but the finishing is less than average.
